Most underrated game was 2007 vs. South Carolina.

Stadium will be electric for this one, but it wont compare to those epic games.

This game doesn't have half the hype and anticipation of the 2007 Florida game, or the 2003 UGA game.

I didn't even get to see the catch, as soon as Mauk let it go, and just before Green caught it, I started screaming and hugging my brother. I damn near knocked him over.....That was also one of my good friends first LSU game ever.

If we are talking BEFORE the game, Florida 2009 was probably the most hyped game to me. Defending champs. Tebow. #1 vs. #4 if I recall. Night game. And then... this happened....

Unrivaled anticipation at that point. Never been more amped for a game. But of course, the game was a dud.

I'm hyped because I want to believe we can put it all together. Plus Florida fans rank slightly above Bama fans which is right under pond scum in my opinion.

I've heard from many that the 79 USC game was the greatest atmosphere ever in TS. That's come from people who started attending in the 60's through today.

for me personally, Florida in '97. It was....surreal. honorable mention would be LSU v. Auburn in Dinardo's first year, UGA in '03, and Tennessee Saban's first year. The Dinardo Auburn win and Saban Tennesse wins weren't epic matchups and LSU had been pretty down. but the feeling of "hope" and "optimism" from the tailgate to the last buzzer still sticks w/ me.

Seems like consensus is this game is not upper tier Tiger Stadium games... That concerns me because it indicates the fans are not taking this one as serious as they should. But I understand. Our situation makes this much more important to me and I figured I was probably seeing through some biased specs. Thanks for feedback... I wish I had been at Florida 97...

Best game was LSU vs UF in 97 followed closely by LSU v UF 07. Going to be another good one this Saturday.

Didn't see it mentioned in the posts I read, but even though it ended in a loss, the experience of the 2012 Alabama game was up there with the best. The way it ended made it that much more difficult to swallow.

There were spontaneous chants of L-S-U in the commercial timeouts. The stadium did everything it could to help the team avenge the....well, you know.

My anticipation is not as great for this game as other LSU-UF games. UF's hype is based on beating an overrated Ole Miss team who had beat an overrated Bama team. My anticipation lies in watching LF7 run the ball and hopefully the continued maturation of BH6.

Best games I've seen in TS in no particular order:

'87 LSU-OSU
'88 LSU-AUB
'95 LSU-AUB
'97 LSU-UF
'07 LSU-UF
'07 LSU-AUB
'11 LSU-UF
'12 LSU-Bama
'14 LSU-Bama

Grier getting suspended really killed a lot of the hype for this game

Hopefully the players feel the opposite of me though

My top ten; '70 Ole Miss, '71 Notre Dame, '79 USC,
'82 Florida State, '88 Auburn, '97 Florida,
2000 Tennessee, 2000 'Bama, 2003 UGA, 2007 Florida.

Hopefully, this Saturday night may make me push one of those to 11. Let's hope!

I was there for that one. Saw Casanova forearm to the helmut repeatedly off the LOS ND's All American receiver Gatewood. Place was wild. But not 79 USC wild and from the sound of this thread, not 97 Florida wild.

Best games I have seen in recent times were the last two Bama games in TS. Crowds were insane. This one will be huge too.

I believe 82 FSU game was one of the wildest crowds I have seen. Oranges covered the North end of the field by games end.
