I'm old school... Still the 79 USC game even though it ended in loss was insane for me and since we've been fighting cancer in the immediate family every day last 2 years we haven't done much and certainly haven't made it for Tigah game.

HOWEVER, friend gave us two suite tix AND WE ARE EFFING COMING and my feeling is this game is going to be right up there with the best. Am I off? Your best TS game compared to this one for anticipation? Is it headed towards SVP / Bama status? It feels that way from over here in Houston.

Also... will say more on this later this year but Dale Brown is bringing us over to sit court side with him at the LSU OU bball game January 30th. What a friend. Can't believe he's not in Hall. Screw that graduation BS.

Best game I've ever seen in tiger stadium was probably UF/LSU 07. And I highly, highly doubt this game will compare, that game was once in a lifetime

It is a big game, but not close to games like Bama or the 07 UF game. Those are games against a superstar player or coach, a national championship defender, etc. This year's UF team is good, but doesn't have the pedigree recently of those other teams to be compared to them just yet.

The hype leading up to LSU vs UGA in 2003 was epic. Also LSU vs Bama 2007. In the stadium, LSU vs UF in 97 wad pure insanity unmatched by any game game to date.

The hype and anticipation for the Florida game in 2009 was pretty ridiculous as well. Too bad the game was a complete shite show

Every sec home game in 2007 was more anticipated than this and 2011 arkansas was pretty amazing.

i cant remember the year, but in mid to late 2000's, LSU and Florida played and they were ranked something like 1 vs 2 (or close to it). it was the game when cuba gooding of all people was down on the field doing the Rod Tidwell (jerry maguire) backflips in front of the student section. the gators stomped on the eye pregame and LSU went out to meet them. crowd was crazy amped up, then amid all that buzz fighter jets buzzed the stadium and fireworks went off.

unfortunately, the final score was like the score of a soccer game and it was a boring, frustrating game and LSU lost.

LSU vs UGA in 2003

This could be my favorite experience in TS. I will never forget hugging these 2 strangers sitting next to me after Skyler Green's game winning TD.

97 Florida game....Absolutely surreal night. I've been going to games since the early 70's and the 97 Florida game will always be "the one" for me. There's been a lot of incredible experiences, but that night was just different on another level. It's truly hard to explain to people the energy in the stadium and the constant extreme noise level. The noise level wasn't for a play here and there...it just never stopped from beginning to end. You couldn't hear the person next to you yelling your name. Nights like that one are the ones that make Tiger Stadium the best experience in CFB. Awesome game!

Been to 03 UGA, 07 UF, 07 Auburn, last year Ole Miss....

07 UF....by a wide margin. In fact, the only game I have been to that is close is NFC Championship- Saints.

07 uf- south endzone, bourbon getting spilled on me and everywhere. I was with some of my best friends...I couldn't hear or speak for 36 hours. I wasn't 100% until that Wednesday morning. It wasn't until months later that I fully grasped what I was a part of...

Auburn 2002
Georgia 2003
Florida 2007
Arkansas 2011
Bama and USCe 2012
Bama and OM last year all better.

I think it's close early but we win by 2-3 scores late. This team is really over rated. Tennessee should have beat this team by 3 touchdowns and that was in the swamp

1. 1997 LSU v Florida 28-21 (Florida came in ranked #1. Tiger fans marched the goal posts straight out of the stadium)

2. 2000 LSU vs Bama 30–28 (1st time Tigers beat Bama in Tiger Stadium since Neil Armstrong walked on the moon and Tiger fans tore the Goal Posts down)

3. 2001 LSU v Tennessee 31-20 (Beat #2 Tennessee, and watched the goal posts come down. SEC Championship birth and kept Tennessee from going to the Rose Bowl)

Very underrated game in these threads. My second favorite to '97 Florida.

My top choice as well. Florida hadn't lost an SEC game in nearly 3 years and everyone said LSU had no chance. Kevin Faulk, Tommy Banks, Cedric Donaldson, and Herb Tyler. A fired up Spurrier. And it was only the second time College Gameday was on our campus and we were excited (how times have changed in that regard because most of our fans don't see it as a big deal anymore).

Not close for me.
Saw them dismantle Notre Dame in 71 which might be my favorite.
Saw a heartbreaker in 79 against the Trojans.
Unfortunately moved away and did not see the other top games by some posters.
This is still a large game and we need to secure victory in the backend of the contest.
