I was one of 300,000 in attendance. #1 Florida at #14 LSU. The Tigers were heavy underdogs. Kevin Faulk, Herb Tyler and an LSU secondary that played out of their skins. We shocked them and college football that week.

The final score of 28-21 is elusive. We absolutely dominated Florida that day.

Anyone else remember pre-game when the LSU fan stole the gator fans' sign and got chased around before other LSU fans pulled him to safety in the student section? Made the reveille I recall.

Florida at home always reminds me of 2007. I'm pretty happy Florida is good again. We have a good series with them.

My wife and I had friends in from Kansas City and were dining in a restaurant in Rivertown, Kenner that had one small TV with the game on (no sound). I kept getting up from table to check on the game. We were still eating when the game ended. These same friends are coming in Sunday.

I think i was the only one not there. But undid listen to the entire game while tubing down the Bogue Chitto! Almost flipped the ice chest/ radio tube when they won!

I was there with my late father. Great memories. Very very satisfying win. It was so special because it was the first win over Florida after I moved to Orlando 8 years prior. It was sooo nice coming back here showing my colors. So many gator fans so disappointed.

I actually was not there.

I was in Newport, Rhode Island ... at a party.

Myself and another Navy Tiger from Lafayette were the only ones watching the game.

As the game went on ... we got intensely drunker and louder and crazier.

Memorable game.

I was there in the north end zone with a good friend of mine. I really wanted to go squirrel hunting that day but he convinced me to go with him being as they had three season tickets and his dad wasn't going. So it was me, him, and his mom watching the Tigers. Lol. Glad I didn't go squirrel hunting that day.

Negatiger here. Florida at home reminds me of 1999 in a driving rainstorm. 2001 Jabar Gaffney taunting the student section as he and Rexxy went off that day. 2003 shitfest. Not to mention 1991, 93 (neverforget), and 95.

I was there. For real. Some friends got to the field and gave us some Tiger field grass. Tried to grow it at home .. It died. Lol.

True story...I skipped an invite to Bobby Jindal's wedding to go to the game. Maybe the best decision I've ever made for multiple reasons.

Still the best game I've ever seen in person at Tiger Stadium.

the gator fans' sign

"Work 'em silly, Gators"

That douche made the same sign for many games. Glad it was stolen. The student section basically disintegrated it.
