Pros
- cheap..you can pick one up for under $3k
- bad arse looking
- easy to work on (readily accessible electrical wiring) so your son can learn some skillz not on a computer
- bulletproof diesel engine
- not your parents minivan

No offense but i'd almost rather not have a car in HS than that truck. It's really really ugly.

HS kids dont really need to be driving brand new vehicles, but that looks like something you just found broken down on the side of the road.
