Yeh public schools still making excuses for being so fricking shitty that people will pay thousands not to go there

Eta: this doesn't include WM and others. It is proven that if you offer a good public education you will dominate the privates in the area

Just curious. Does anyone know the rummel's starters? Their size. And class?

Talking about this years Rummel and WM. Their defenses are stout.

And making excuses...I know you've been to a game where the officials played a big part in a game.

Yes. Every game that WM or John Curtis has lost

Would be a great match up, but we will never know.

you know rummel's offense would be pedestrian... Roth just doesn't have the talent or the risk-taking personality to score on the elitest of the elite defenses... as we've saw repeatedly over the years

and about the split, by having it, public school principals admitted they couldn't compete. that's a crappy thing to tell kids...

In the early 2000's when he ran into those powerful Evangel teams he ran his usual run packages, just was outmatched.

I agree though, he has to be a little more creative in the pass game.

It's easy to say be creative, but when has Rummel ever had more than 1 d1 wide receiver? They've barely had d1 quarterbacks... credit them for winning with what they have, but they've never been truly dynamic on offense

West Monroe has beaten every Catholic league team they have played. Let's be honest, all of those teams are very close and it could go either way depending on turnovers. You mad at public schools bro?

Original purpose of thread was to pay a little respect to Rummel and West Monroe regardless of select, non-select or combined.

You knew what the conversation would turn to. I personally think all of the top 6 schools in 5a can beat each other on any given night.

Since when? For 10 years you have this agenda against West Monroe and I see you still do. You DO NOT have a clue what goes on at WM and I am pretty sure that you have never been north of I-10. Some of us have matured and some of us haven't, Lester.

I have followed WM football for a long time.
WM is starting to get back to the level they were at back in the late 1990s & early 2000s.

With Coach Shows having such a hard time with his health the last few years, the program was a little down. God rest Coach Shows soul.

Coach Arledge is starting to get the program back to where it was.
The talent coming up through the middle schools & on the freshman/JV level is phenomenal.

I would like to see WM and Rummel and maybe a couple other schools have something like the Hap Gaudi Classic in the Dome. WM played Shaw in 1999 and John Curtis in 2000. That was some exciting football to watch.
