I love the purple jerseys! Somehow they look more natural as a road jersey, when I was young they wore them on occasion for away games but never at home. The Tigers should wear these for at least one SEC game.

I'm just taking a guess that your joking, every time they wear the purple jerseys they not only play like shite but look like it. Burn 'em and move on with the white. Looks the best and for whatever reason they play like it.

They okay. The yellow and white stripe looks bad. They need to take out the white and just make it two yellow stripes. LSU look is purple and yellow to me. That's not gold. See the small pic of the band on the right. They need to go back to that color. The old gold they call it. It's more of an dark orange look like a real tiger. The color they have now looks more like the Packers.

i totally agree. the purple jerseys are fantastic. i just don't like the yellow helmets/pants with white jerseys. too much light. i wish that lsu would wear something purple with the white jerseys.
also, the '09 ark game uni was fantastic. lsu in real gold is amazing. the auburn white unis were also amazing. almost anything is better than the usual yellow/white/yellow combo. it's awful. for what it's worth, the packers look like crap in the same combo.

We've worn white at home as long as I've been alive (except for the NCAA mandate years), and that's a really long time. I don't mind the purples once a year, but we wear white at home. It's tradition and a great look.

Have a downvote. There is no pageantry and proud tradition with the purple jerseys. They're a symbol of futility and failure not to mention they're ugly as frick.

I agree the purple jerseys are the best in football and unique to lsu. I wish we'd start wearing them all the time at home.
If you showed a college football fan both jerseys I'd bet more often than not they'd recognize the purples over the white as lsu.
