Could you work for a company or organization others think badly of?

Not naming names but when I see some people working for companies with a bad name I wonder how they do it. If your company has created a deadly product, had a major oil spill, or been in the media for bad acts could you still work for them? Don't get me wrong I know you have to support your family, but would you prefer a less contraversal job, or does that not matter to you? Media and public hate many large companies.

I knew a "nurse" at the abortion clinic in BR.

She hated her job, and apparently made her hate her own life. She killed herself around 2003

I'm guessing you mean people who work for someone like comcast or cox. Everyone's gotta make a living, can't hate them just the company

If I think the company deserves the bad name I just won't do it, I have better things to do.

If I think the general public is being stupid and the company is actually doing good I have zero problem with it.

Work for one. Doesn't bother me.

Especially when some hipster judges me while wearing a product that is available only because of my (companies) existence.

No. I could never be a cop. Why would I want to associate with murderous genocidal thugs?

I have and it bothered me but I hate looking for work so I hung in until the absolute worst bitch I have ever encountered in my career took over. The company is tits up, only a skeleton crew left.

How can anybody work for the IRS unless you're just a bully or power hungry?

Tons of people do. In California people think badly of Walmart, oil companies, lawyers, the dmv, state govt, federal govt, fossil fuel power plants, nuclear power plants, and pretty much any manufacturing. But wgaf? We all have to work somewhere.
