You can tell he understands his role. He's pretty mature

You must be high. Yes, BH needs to have more opportunities but LF won that game last night. Beast man carried us becUse LM didn't think it was wise to let BH loose yet.

Had CLM let him go too soon, we could have been Auburn 14 all over again. Let the guy keep his training wheels for just a bit.

Doesn't matter how bad a teams secondary is. Mikes refuses to attack other teams weaknesses. He only wants to run 70/30.

You saw CLM on the sidelines though right?

Two small changes for this offense

Play action pass on 1st & 2nd 20% of the time
A true read option with BH & LF

Wha does any of that have to do with play calling? Because that is our biggest opponent of the year

You're right on this. On drives where BH had a play of 10 yds or greater running or throwing, we had 235 total yds and 3TDs. 82 total yards when he didn't. Likewise LF had 13 carries for 118 (9.08 ypc) under the same conditions and 15 for 41 yds (2.73 ypc) without a BH 10+ play.

LF is definitely the feature player but BH provides the balance and threat that makes it work.

Who knew huh?

It's an astounding stat to be sure. All I can do is hope the reason they didn't throw it around was mostly because they wanted to ease Harris into the season. I've seen what we can do with Mett at the helm and guys like Landry and Beckham, so I'm not foolish enough to say we will play like that every game.

IMO, when they do start airing it out, the RBs will have a field day.

ETA: Would love to see a true read option and the two back set be utilized.

Get used to more of what you saw last night next week...... Harris could light that secondary up... But Les AGAIN will play it close to the vest against a team like AU......

Auburn has the 97th ranked run defense in the country. Yes we could beat them through the air but we won't have to so we won't.

But y'all will bitch and moan anyway. I'm sure of that

Yeah when we get down by 14.
Stop fooling yourself people, this is Les Miles.

The other team always has the ball with a chance to win the game.

Yep. TWO years.

The 2013 offense was competent quite a bit. It was the defense that struggled that year. Still, we went 10-3.

This is so true and correct. Open up and balance the offense is key to big yards and winning games without the shitshow we saw rear its head last week. Please put a memo on all the coaches desk what the poster wrote above.
