As a whole which one is cheaper?
I'm about equal distance from each.

I feel like I get time warped to the 80s when I walk into Home Depot.
I shop at both due to HD being closer to my house.
I think on a few items, HD is cheaper BUT Lowes will price match plus take another 10% off which is phenomenal if you have the time to research.

I mostly hit up HD, but I would say Lowes is probably cheaper across the board.
I'm just not driving out of my way to save a dollar, now if it's an appliance then it changes.

I've noticed the following:
Comparable in lumber prices but lowest quality is slightly better.
Lowes is way more expensive in their cooper electrical parts than hd with lucitron
Both are same in prices of name brand tools, but HD seems to be cheaper in their ridgid/husky brand vs lowes kobalt.

Depot.
Lowes caters more to women it seems to me
Lumber is cheaper and better at any local lumber yard I find.

Used to go to home depot, until I tried to buy a grill in Covington and Slidell 3 times. Couldn't get help in Covington and Slidell couldn't find 4 grills.
I go to Lowe's now.

We are shopping for washer and dryer and lowes beat HD by at least $50 or more per appliance. Just got home from checking out the prices too

Went to both AGAIN today.
At Home Depot I can't fin anyone to help, the lady that did help was clueless and Lowe's people were friendly, had the same stuff and exact same price on stuff I was looking for.
Lowe's it is.
Thanks all!

I'm building a house so I've been in both a lot lately.
There is very little difference in pricing for things like appliances, flooring, lighting, faucets, tubs/showers.
I wouldn't buy lumber from either and my lighting is coming from an actual lighting store. Appliances will be from Lowe's, they have a good sale going on several appliances I specifically want. Flooring - Lumber Liquidators and a tile store. Cabinets - a cabinet shop, granite - a granite store.

I like Lowes better and they price match +10%

I go to both. Usually Home Depot will have some things Lowes doesn't carry. Both offer 10% military discounts.
