BAN "Calling Baton Rouge"

Yes. It says, "Louisiana" in the first line, and you guys can all scream your idiot fool heads off.
But it is a song about a trucker/drifter who had a one night stand with a young girl. who is stopping at payphones, calling the woman, because he's still thinking bout the sex and her.
"DERRR. It's saying our city name. It's about us"
what the frick this has to do with LSU football is beyond me. this didn't start til the early 2000s. this is not an old tradition. this is a new stupid tradition. we might as well play "Heart of Rock N Roll" by Huey Lewis. Or "Bobby McGee" or "Big River". because they have as much to do with LSU FOOTBALL AS THIS SONG.

ETA. I'm going to put my money where my mouth is. I'm going to BOYCOTT all games in TIger Stadiums this season in protest.

It's not the official song of LSU...they just play it at the games.

And another thing, CBR is extremely dated. No one uses pay phones anymore and dime has a totally different meaning these days. On an aside, I see G Brooks wife on the Food Channel sometimes and IMO she needs to be on the Diet Channel.
