Stopped reading at Jersey Shore.
Sucks for the waitress though. She doesn't prepare the food. If she accommodated the party as well as she could, late food aside, she should have been tipped.

Tips aren't automatic. If you aren't shitty you'll get one.
I walk into a restaurant thinking 15%. If you are good it goes higher and if you are bad it stays. If you are terrible it goes down.

this is the restaurant's fault. Everybody knows that Party of 6 or more includes 18% automatic tip.

I worked a long time as a server.
I'm a GREAT tipper. Heck, I recently left $15 on a $17 check.
That being said, if I waited an hour for my food the server isn't getting a dime and she can take it up with the kitchen for costing her a tip.

I just don't see why restaurants won't pay their employees a respectable hourly wage and throw out tipping all together. From all the place i've traveled, and it's been a bunch, US the the only country where servers and bartenders money is based on tips.
