Saints Roster Projections as of 8/25
Per Nola.COM

I am glad. Nick Toon has been a liability on the receiving corps for far too long. He missed several key catches last season.

What are your comments on the attached link? Any players that should really be the odd man out instead of the one selected?

Snead is too damn good to let go.

I was probably one of the longest lasting Toon-hopefuls, but I'll be pretty pissed if he makes the roster ahead of Snead.

PJ Williams out is a surprise. How many 3rd round picks don't make the 53? SJB should be out before him, no?

I think most folks would be shocked if Toon makes the team. He had his chances and didn't do anything with them.

I'd like to see Coley make the team but that means, more than likely, Ellerbe would have to go.

The other projections seem to be pretty logical.

Has been as talked about this camp as any receiver for catching most everything thrown his way. And the way this years camp has gone one hardly knew Toon was on our team.

Now the question is which Morgan?
I'll go with the vet as we don't have many.

Holy shite. I haven't paid close enough attention. I thought Willie Snead was a white dude.

For some reason, Joe Morgan being out surprises me.

Eulls would go to PS, I suppose.

And I feel like Sanford and Warren are too good to go.

And Warren is a special teamer which I think gets him on the roster.

And are we really going to carry three qb's?

Same here. I feel like he could take Humber's spot on the roster, especially because he's been hurt, but he's going to have to pull his weight on Special Teams to do that.

Toon has had way too many chances to prove himself. Time to move on from that failure.

Agreed. I know they are different types of WRs, but Jones making it over Morgan would surprise me. Jones has had a pretty quiet camp, and Morgan seems like he has good chemistry with Brees. He also said that he's been asked to more things at WR, than any previous year, meaning running more of the route tree as opposed to just running go route0.s

The only way we would only carry two is if Grayson had an outstanding camp, and could be trusted to be the #2. That hasn't been close to the case, so I don't see any scenario in which we would only carry 2.

I like Snead as well, he has great hands and runs good routes. All of the QBs appear to have confidence in this kid.

I doubt Grayson would make it to the PS, so they probably have to keep him on the 53 and just keep him deactivated.

It happens a good bit, the 3rd round is usually that borderline of when you can cut someone and put them on the PS.

SJB has had a solid camp and preseason; not sure why you don't think he should make the cut.

I feel like if we could just hold on to Toon for 3 more seasons he'd be ready to break out
