Some good running shows on Netflix/Prime:
The Returned (French) - only one season so far, incredible show
Bloodline - excellent drama
House of Cards - Im sure you've heard
Banshee - widely entertaining
Sherlock - Popular on this board, great show
Bates Motel - As a Hitchcock fan, this is surprisingly good
Hannibal - a masterpiece as far as major network TV goes
Longmire - contemporary western, easy, undemanding watch
Transparent - good, thoughtful comedy for adults
Daredevil - yeah watch this, its awesome
Rectify - interesting show
Already been said but Peaky Blinders is really good.
I haven't seen but have heard that both Deustchland 83 and Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell are both good new shows that just came out and should be available On Demand.
I am again rewatching Curb Your Enthusiasm and this is the most I've laughed at a show in maybe 10 years, it gets funnier with age. I highly recommend.
Great show, can't wait for Season 2.
ETA: Black Mirror - crazy freaking show, dark science fiction, satire even but not in a funny way. 2 Seasons on Netflix, more coming.

Mr. Robot. You can stream it on the USA Network webpage if you have cable or satellite. It's a bit annoying because of all the commercials, but the show is strong!

If you have seen a lot of HBO and Showtime series you should definitely check out The Knick. It's currently on HBOgo, very good series.
