Then curves and goes out to the Atlantic

I doubt it lasts long enough to hit hispaniola much less curve anywhere

it'll probably develop and then get destroyed much like Danny. It's way too early to tell though.

as for Danny, I have my doubts he's even a hurricane anymore.

Good to hear.

I love watching these storms develop, it's fascinating. As long as they develop into monsters out in open water and get sheered to death before they hit land... win-win.

I'm glad Danny is getting blasted. I fly into Orlando Friday afternoon. We'd get there around the same time.

Recon is pretty much confirming what was indicated by satellite this morning. Danny made the most of his time but it has been all downhill since about 50W. Danny has maintained some robust downshear conviction. Luckily for Danny, the downshear right inflow (typically this is some of the deepest inflow in sheared systems) is feeding from some of the only moist air in the area.

It will be interesting to see if it can fight back or will recon document the demise of Danny this afternoon.

I talked to one of our tropical guys about it this afternoon and he's pretty bearish on it. He has serious doubts on the shear dying down anytime soon.

Can any smart weather people describe what Danny did here? It looks like it collapsed on itself and shot out. Weather is so cool.
