Can we please get over a play that was called by the head coach and really didn't mean anything in the first game of preseason? Please?

It's preseason and I get that, but Ryan's defense looks like it picked right up where it left off last year...LBs missing the RB out of the backfield for easy completions, pushed around at the LOS, reacting too late...etc. It was mostly projected starters on defense out there for the first series and it wasn't promising.
No need to hit the panic button right now but things need to change for the better, If everything stays the same, it will be a repeat of 2014 and Rob will be looking for another job.

Waiting for this defense to finally get it together is getting pretty tiring. Yes, game 1 of preseason, but even then it's hard to see this unit get run over with ease.
If it doesn't round out, this is what turns our balanced offense into a drew brees noodle arm bonanza, because we'll be playing catch up constantly.

Payton was pretty invested in the defensive first series. He was jumping arse out there; it was easy to figure out that he didn't like what he was seeing.
