I dont know what happened to my original topic on SU acceptance rates. So I am reposting the topic. If anyone knows what happened to the original chat let me know.
Southern University (BR) has an acceptance rate of 36% and a graduation rate of 8 %. Why is it considered so difficult to be admitted.

This will be zapped also. I would continue posting the same thread over and over. Makes complete sense.

Always a good decision.

Because the applicants don't meet their admission requirements?

SU and Grambling need to be shut down...embarrassing!

Okay. So your saying it was taken down by the administrators. I suppose that it is considered a sensitive topic.
I did not mean to offend anyone.

I am not going to stop making southern related threads. And if I knew of a Southern related chatting website I would use that instead.
However, I suppose that acceptance/graduation rates are a bad discussion for threads at this website.
Again, I meant no offense, I go here after all

stick around TD for a while and you'll catch on

It likely was taken down due to racial issues finding their way into the thread.
However, regardless of who attends, any university that has a graduation rate of 8% should be shut down.

Damn, why in the world is a school with that graduation rate even allowed to stay open?

Checkmate.
BTW: most of all my friends that attended SU ended up transferring to another school due to "financial aid department being unprofessional and not helping students, loosing paperwork, etc etc" and "going through hell just to get advised and enroll in classes". The headache wasn't worth it to them.

Based purely on base rates, it is more likely than not the OP will not graduate from Southern.

I'm assuming that's a 4 year graduation rate. I'd be willing to bet LSU @ 4 years isn't much better. I'm guessing that it's at or less than 15%.

8 percent of students graduate. Are students transferring out to other programs?
Why is an entire university needed for such a small amount of success?

I would hope the difference is at least statistically significant.

LSU has a 4 year graduation rate of 40%. 6 year rate is 69.1%
