I disagree with that logic. What if things do turn out positively? Then you were unnecessarily miserable.
Posted on 7/25/15 at 7:26 pm to JohnMcCain1936
You don't start out as being miserable you start out as expecting to more likely be miserable than not
Posted on 7/25/15 at 7:38 pm to MrPel
Yes but you said it's safer to be negative. I assume from what you said that you choose to be negative in any given situation (not just with the pels) in order to avoid failure. Always expecting to more likely be miserable than not is pretty unrealistic in my opinion.

This board would be a much better place without you and that gigantic pussy peliclown..least he has the clown part right..

I was all for the contract given to Asik or at least neutral to it, but how the hell does our med staff miss this type of stuff? This doesn't seem like an issue that just popped up. That contract is dumb as nails if Demps knew about this problem and still give it out. This coming from a pretty big fan of DD.

It has nothing to do with the logic of what starts "their" position and everything to do with Alejandro's shrill tone, need for negative attention, and need to "win" and argument by completely making shite up. He does not discuss points with us, he talks down to us and trolls us and while I'm normally against banning, he is most certainly a board nuisance. You can have a dissenting point of view without trolling the board. You do it with Anderson, brmark almost always defies board conventional wisdom, Gtothemoney was the canary in the coal mine on Monty, but there is a difference between disagreeing with the popular opinion of board and trolling/seeking negative attention.

Your logic and their logic is in the same single digit IQ tier.

he translation isn't perfect, but we do learn the source of Asik's problem: sacroiliitis and reactive arthritis. It appears his reactive arthritis, also known as Reiter's syndrome, is responsible for causing inflammation and pain in his sacroiliac joint, an area below the lumbar spine and above the tailbone.e
When I first saw arthritis I got pretty concerned, but this isn't normal arthritis, it's caused by an infection
quote:LINK
Reactive arthritis usually develops following a bout with certain bacterial infections including Chlamydia, Salmonella, Shigella, Yersinia, and Campylobacter.
If this is an accurate diagnosis, never something to bet on with this team, then it should be temporary, but still possibly long term enough to be a concern. From the WebMD article I linked:
quote:
Most people recover in three to four months, but about half have recurrences for several years.

Peliclown is the best poster on the board. Same with that "emo guy." You guys think we can actually win the West... But seriously I don't like how the FO built this team, and thats before we all knew jrue was damaged goods

Many of the moves are head scratchers or just seemed to be reactionary. I'm sure there was a plan to what Demps was doing. But the environment of the league changed and he was stuck holding contracts that he thought he could flip. Maybe with the spending spree this summer, some of those contracts become attractive again. There are no big moves coming until next summer. So the team is what it is until then.
This is hard to admit. But, other than Davis, I really don't care about anybody on this team. I generally root for players I've seen develop, as in the team drafted (or acquired when they were raw) or that played/came from my local area. Or I hear a story and take a personal interest in the guy, like Mudiay's story. But my favorite players are quiet, dirty, tough, flexible, underpaid guys that play out of their minds. The team really doesn't have any of those type of guys. I had some hopes for Rivers. But he just couldn't get any traction with 4 combo guards ahead of him. It's just going to be tough season when the only guys I like watching are Davis, Pondexter, Cunningham and Ajinca. I'm kind of warming up to Babbit. But he needs to take a big leap forward and stop living/dying by the 3.
It's just kind of telling that the team doesn't have a guy that came from or played/attended a college within 1000 miles of the city. Or that only 1 guy has been drafted and only played for them, that is still on the team. It's just a team of various guys thrown together. It's hard to invest of care about those type of players..

We will start out way to slow to make the 8th seed.

when its 1 in the morning and ive been drinking, thats when I love reading their post and the people who respond with negative comments.
This is my basketball entertainment while we in the off season
And their logic I agree with is the fact that most people here agree with what the FO is doing just because its the easy way to post without getting absolutely destroyed
And I do agree they do sorta talk down to everybody, however, they ( or he ) start it when every disagrees with them ( or him )

That's kind of shitty to say about your own team tbh...
You don't care to see a great guy like Jrue bounce back?
Ryno(who's one of the most likable players around) bounce back from a physically(and emotionally) draining past couple of years and return to being the ryno we know?
A guy like cole who wears his heart on his sleeve and clearly works his arse of on the court and was a good influence on the guys?
shite even gordon has done a great job of intergrating himself and has been one of if not the most positive guy this offseason. This is a guy that was vilified and played through an injury that could've ending his season if he chose too.
That is a very flawed viewpoint you have. If it's such a struggle, what's the point?

Teams don't think like this
The spurs have used guys from europe or washed up vets for over a decade. They draft/acquire guys from both ends of the earth and put them into the right system. They don't think to just acquire a guy from TX,LA,OK,KS etc.
This is also true for many teams that have been successful. They don't really care if a guy is "local".
