Avery island was awesome. We went after Lake Peigneur caved in. I was about 6 or 7 so I thought we were all going to get sucked in.

Baylor school of medicine....went like my sophmore year in high school. They took us into the area where they work on cadavers...when they opened one up, this one kid passed out and went face down

8th grade trip to New York City. A group of us snuck out of our hotel, the Hilton on Ave of the Americas, and went to Times Square at 1:00am.
We attempted to buy some beer at the T.G.I. Friday's but that was a no go.
Ended up picking up some Mickey D's and just hanging around.
Times Square was pretty tame by then with cops on every corner. We thought we were badasses though.

Great overall trip though. NYC is an awesome city.

6th grade trip to Washington DC

We won a national GeoBear competition and got a private tour of the White House and was on the TODAY show. We were supposed to meet Clinton, but something came up, so we met Madeline Albright instead. We still got a privately catered lunch at the White House. Pretty damn cool.
This isn't a field trip.

In 2nd grade we took a tour through the Coca Cola Facility was pretty interesting.
6th grade trip to Philly was probably my favorite.
My school did take the 8th graders to Disney World which was also great

I'd rather not link it, but search YouTube for "field trip", along with the name of a certain substance, used as textile fiber and thread for sewing, that is often harvested in the South (I can't mention it as it got me banned for a month last time)

Greatest field trip ever

glad I read this, I was gonna link that video. Slays me every time. My "black friends" think it's funny too, so it can't be racist

In 10th grade, we got to go to Hawaii to visit Pearl Harbor. We won some competition that provided the funds although I still think it cost my parents the price of the plane ticket.

I think a lot of 10th graders lost their virginity on that trip.

In quotations, it comes off as you don't really consider them to be friends.

Went to Disney World in 5th grade for a choir competition/event. That's the one that definitely sticks out.

Or maybe he doesn't really consider them to be black. Strange use of quotations either way.

I was poking fun at the entire defense of, "I'm not racist, I have a black friend!" They aren't my "black friends" any more than my other friends are my "white friends." They are simply friends. Not objects. Ergo, quotation marks to emphasize that as a social construct.

Fifth grade: Flew Hawaiian Airlines around Oahu -- the airline president's son was in my class at Punahou.

We had great field trips.
