4th grade... went to water works / sewer treatment plant.
Walked up the ladder to the top of the tall treatment tanks. Saw about 500 condoms floating on top the water. When asked what that was, teacher said, "ok boys and girls, its time to go"!

Yes, yes I did - and with my husband's enthusiastic approval.
I called and politely explained that their visit time was inconvenient and to please choose from these more convenient dates. She responded that I was causing her a lot of trouble but she would think about it. She was very calm - kind of spooky...

In 10th grade I went on a weekend field trip to tour colleges in North Carolina that was only for the top PSAT performers in the grade. Toured Duke, UNC-Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, NC State, Elon, and Furman on the way back. Beautiful campuses (except NC State.) They were handing out condoms outside of the Duke student union and the chaperones fell asleep early.... So I made a water balloon out of mine

3rd or 4th grade we went to the replica of the Parthenon in Nashville. It was pretty badass.

We had an end of year trip in 5th grade to the Audubon Zoo and I thought it was amazing.
