LINK to article with video

Link to video

She if officially pulled over at 2:30
Officer approaches the car with a warning at 8:33 (shite show from there)
She resists arrest at 13:15
What sounds like a taser at 13:20

If you haven't followed this story, she was found deceased in her jail cell from what looks to be suicide.

Overall, I believe the law enforcement office had the right to pull her over because in the video it is clear that she failed to signal her lane change, and from what it sounds she resisted arrest. It's an unfortunate turn of events that clearly forced her to take her own life.

It is an unfortunate situation but I'm having trouble processing this phrase here. How did you reach this conclusion?

i dunno, i think the cop handled this pretty terribly. She asked a million times prior to her resisting why she was being arrested and he never said.

Justice for not using your turn signal, let this be a lesson.

These kids who were picked on in grade school who become LEO do not take 5 min to see the whole situation. They are already butt hurt and underpaid. Yet they fail to see their own shortcomings.

Failure to turn on blinker. Let us change the situation. This LEO is at the doctor's office. He is clearly overweight, which is a biological infraction. If the doctor were on a power trip, they could say he is unfit at this moment to operate a motor vehicle until he loses 50 lbs, has a cardiac stress test and a sleep study. Then they inform the insurance company who immediately triples his premiums copays and deductibles. The state and federal government immediately send him a tax bill for $100,000.00 bc his poor health status is a current and future burden on US taxpayers.

I think it's hilarious when she finally gets out of the car and says, "you're doing this for a failure to signal."

No, he pulled you over and wrote a warning for a failure to signal. He's asking you to step out of the car because you're not following his orders and because you resisted arrest.

Idiots

They are investigating it as a homicide. Video shows no one near her cell, til they find her hanged. Who in the word does the family think killed her.

Her family will, however, get a settlement. There should be no garbage bags in a cell and no one checked on her. This is especially true for someone with a history of depression. But the officers will be in the clear, as they should be.

Probably but it's some ticky tacky shite.

I don't think you can tell. She's obviously upset. But it seems to happen off camera.

There really doesn't seem to be anything clear about this.

The cop was out of line. She was smoking in her car and had a right to be upset. She never threatens the cop or becomes belligerent until he tells her to get out. He was on a power trip and was obnoxious. Hopefully he loses his job....STILL she killed herself. That's on her.

I don't know how far you guys got in the vid but at around the 23:00 mark the Trooper is on the phone with what is likely his Sgt. He retells the story and damn is he making it sound good

Total fabrications for the most part

reminds me of arlo guthrie from "alice's restaurant"

He said: "Kid, I'm gonna put you in a cell. I want your wallet and your belt." I said, "Obie, I can understand your wantin' my wallet, so I don't have any money to spend in the cell, but what do you want my belt for?" and he said, "Kid, we don't want any hangin's." I said, "Obie, did you think I was gonna hang myself for litterin'?"

the one time i was in custody at 15 for minor in possession, i don't recall thinking for one moment that suicide was an option.

"clearly" ms bland had problems much larger than a traffic stop. it sounds like she thinks there are 70 virgins waiting for her.

I still don't understand why the officer asked her to put out a cig in her own car, then got upset when she questioned him about it. Such a dumb reason for the cop to further escalate things. All he had to do was give her the ticket and not let his big head get to him.
