Edit: This is a Public Service Announcement. The OP has no financial interest in these ventures, and is not acquainted with anyone mentioned in this thread! Period, end of discussion!
A while back I posed a thread about Bravo for Vive , a concession stand outside Tiger Stadium co-started by an LSU premed student and a prominent local restaurant owner... So did anyone try out the Paleo concession stand by the Airplane?...It's become a big success, and Bravo for Vive can now be ordered inside Tiger Stadium as well as outside.
Now two more LSU students are getting into the food business... FryBaby is a food truck now coming to Tigerland.

I love reading stories like this, and applaud LSU students for their vision and courage in having a concept and seeing it through!

University general business juniors Morgan Daigle and Victoria Waguespack are ready to unleash a new business upon the Tigerland community — a food truck offering gourmet fries. But these aren’t just any old french fries. These students are selling waffle fries smothered in Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses, popped in the melter before being covered with your favorite toppings.
Along with selling water and Powerade to boost low levels of electrolytes, Frybaby has released five gourmet fry plates so far, ranging from $4 to $8. The original Frybaby is covered with the basics: cheese and chives. The second plate, the Crybaby, adds jalapeños and sour cream to the cheese-coated potatoes. The Bakin’ Baby is reminiscent of a baked potato, smothered in bacon, cheese and ranch, and the Get Dirty Baby is covered in chili and cheese.
The Mybaby is the most customizable option. This make-it-your-own plate allows guests to choose from an array of toppings. And for those with a sweet tooth, Frybaby offers the Sugarbaby, flash fried donut holes showered in powdered sugar with your choice of either chocolate syrup or Nutella.

This more than anything. I mean, cheese fries aren't a novel idea.

I had their fries on Thursday night and they were amazing. Granted... I was hammered and everything tastes amazing when you're drunk, but they were very fast and friendly it was a good way to end the night for sure.

There must be a Caitlyn Jenner variety.
Seriously, I love the concept of food trucks. Unfortunately, I live in a rural area in which it's not feasible for them to catch on. Those fries look/sound great, though.

So how much of a stake do you have in this deal?
Posted on 7/18/15 at 3:55 pm to MSH
I have no stake in either deal. These are strictly PSA's.

You put in WAY too much time and effort into your OP for a friendly PSA.

You know what TD needs? A board that deals with Drinks and Food and stuff like this. They could call it the Food and Drink Board.

Obviously we have different ideas about what is " too much time and effort". I don't consider five minutes on a lazy Saturday afternoon "too much".

He's suggesting you have a personal and/or professional tie to the subject of your friendly PSA, hence the effort.

And I get that. I'm on record as to having no connection to either. The same kinda thing was brought up in the earlier thread.
I'm just enjoying these as part of the general culture around LSU.
That's all.

I don't eat potatoes.
And for that reason, I'm out.
And for that reason, I'm out.
