What is the sales pitch for meth and heroine?

I am missing the upside? How does no teeth no money and friends sound? Seriously, is it arrogance that leads people to believe they are different than the other road kills? I have a close friend who is addicted to both and I just don't get it!

It's heroin not heroine. And your stereotypes are dumb and played out. Adderal is pretty much meth. And heroin can ruin people's lives but it's not like it's a guarantee. They aren't much different than alcohol and tobacco

Dude I was a hard core meth addict for close to 30 years and other than a couple of teeth I lost in fights I still have all mine and they are fine. There are many reasons people use drugs, to many to list, for me it started out as recreation and turned into something much darker. You see the thing about certain drugs is they make you feel awesome while allowing you to not feel anything.

There are a surprisingly large amount of functional heroin and meth addicts. it's a weird world.
