I would like to congratulate current LSU students on the lower standards that you all will now be held to.

This is a great moment in grade inflation history.

Now, instead of everyone getting A's and B's, we can give everyone A+'s and A's.

Well done!

Already have a degree from LSU? Its now worth 0.3 GPA points less!

Glad I got out of there when I did. I was a 90-91 type guy.

I'm glad we didn't have that. I would've had a ton of B minuses.

Yes, and I'm sure it was all forced upon the school by liberal pussies like yourself that think nobody should have their feelings hurt.

I take it from your history as a champion for lower standards and less personal responsibility that this is a sincere congratulations and not one said tongue in cheek.

This actually is much harder. Most A's that I got in college were right at the cutoff... They would be A- now...

Students fought this implementation. Nice try though.

How does a +/- system lower standards?

I think every A I made in college would have been an A- now.

So this is a bad thing, being brought on same scale as schools like

Vanderbuilt

and

HARVARD?

no links, google is your friend...

I made a 4.0 at LSU and definitely would be closer to a 3.7 or however they score A-s

Baylor had this debate right as I was graduating.

It was believed that by not having a +/- system hurt our academic image so they implemented one. Apparently, most prestigious universities do this?

So who decides what is a minus, regular, or plus? Does each professor set up his own cutoffs. The cutoffs in the link are just hypotheticals.
