According to a new report, Jenner’s ESPY award originated as a pitch from her representatives to ESPN. Per RadarOnline, Jenner’s camp suggested to the network that she receive the award and offered public relations plugs on her upcoming reality show in return.

“They suggested that she receive the Arthur Ashe award,” a source told the website. “It was a brilliant move because the executives at ESPN loved the idea, and immediately began making sure it got done. Caitlyn’s journey to accepting the award will also be featured on her upcoming reality show, ‘I am Cait.’”

According to the report, the negotiations with ESPN started as Jenner’s team was finalizing the terms of her April interview with Diane Sawyer on fellow Disney property ABC’s “20/20.” That interview netted the program’s biggest rating in 15 years.

It was an obvious publicity stunt from the beginning. Jenner hasn't been relevant in sports in decades. Luckily for me I don't give a frick about the ESPYs

Isn't TLC also putting out a show with a 10 year old who thinks she's a tranny?

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.. Right after the speech they cut to a promo for its reality show. This whole thing was an embarassment and a clown show. Disney/espn/abc should be ashamed.

Gee, imagine that. Bruce Jenner being an attention whore.

This is why a lot of people have very little respect for trans genders. Be yourself. No one cares what you do with your body. The minute you start using "who you are" for attention and fame, you lose every ounce of respect in the eyes of anyone who even had the slightest liking for you.

This will come back to bite shim in the butt.

Dear God... please let Kanye West get completely mind-fricked by the Kardashian women as much as Bruce Jenner. I would love to see the train wreck that results.

Amen.

Yep. Interview on Disney-owned network, award on Disney-owned show, and print publication with Conde Nast/Advance whom also owns reddit and about 85 newspapers.

Of course it was. The end game for the LGBT movement is total surrender. They operate much like the SS did in the '30s.

Divide, ruin, and conquer is the playbook.

Anyone paying attention would know.
