If you're just worried about costs would you then argue that less people should be sentenced to jail time to save money that way?

Less people should be in jail. The punishment of petty crimes is an entirely different issue.

Just the opposite. Shorten the time from sentencing to execution. That saves tons.

Here's an idea, let's be civilized and give them A/C. We cut the air, we stoop to their level.

What?? How does not providing A/C equate to being a murderer, rapist or an armed robber?

Evidence presented in court in 2013, based on heat indices measured from July 15 to Aug. 5 of that year, indicated the heat index maxed out 108 degrees.

So you want to shorten the time even though for every 10 people executed 1 person on death row has been proven innocent? Imagine how many more innocent people would have been executed if the time was as short as you want.

I'm not a believer in the death sentence, but since it doesn't appear to be going anywhere, how about a compromise for those that do... A/C in exchange for shorter stays on death row?

Nothing compared to the torturous and sick things they did to their victims. You think animals who decapitate and mutiliate their victims deserve AC so they don't get a little too warm? They could be out in the fields/ditches directly in the sun like they used to be.

It's not about what they deserve. It's about us being better than them. They are uncivilized and we are civilized. They torture and kill, we don't. It's barbaric and outdated.

I really have zero sympathy for a murderer as "uncivilized" as that may be of me.

Actually, none of the goals of criminal justice are showing that we are better than them. Well done on the troll, though. You're going to get a lot more people hooked before it is said and done.
