know you're prettymuch incapable of having an adult conversation, but Ridley lost costly fumbles that got him benched at LSU, just like it has in the league. The other two backs missed games due to suspension, but led the team in carries either before or after. I know, facts suck.
Ridley, Hill and ware all got themselves suspended. That's not Les' fault.

You are correct, this has never happened (that I've seen), and based on Miles' "style/schtick/make up/innerds/chest/guts" - whatever it is that makes a man do what he do - I do not see an LSU player ever winning the Heisman trophy. It's almost as if Miles thinks that an adequate and effective Heisman campaign and true, unabashed teamwork are mutually exclusive.
Maybe that's why he has the most sec wins in his tenure.... We don't rely on one player.

Let me explain it to you gramps. These days, a school doesn't need a full on PR press in order for a candidate to gain exposure. Infinitely more games are televised nationally than they were 30 years ago (all LSU games in fact). This means players who perform at an elite level on the field will be seen by the media. No billboard, posters, or head coaches ranting necessary.
How many preseason lists did the Honey Badger make? How many games had you seen RG3 play before he won? Tre Mason, Toby gerhart, and Mark Ingram are all running backs who came out of nowhere to become Heisman finalists/winner. The nation already knows about Buga. They'll be able to see for themselves if he's worthy or not.

Les job isnt to hype players its to win games.
Les isn't winning the games so he may as well hype a Heisman player.
Really good for recruiting.
What high school kid doesn't want to win the Heisman?

i care more about Fournette staying healthy and winning games than him winning a Heisman.
if that means giving the other RBs some touches than so be it
But for the usual suspects, that means nothing. It's all about them and what they want.

Proves how shitty some of the spoiled LSU fanbase has become...

The Heisman Trophy is a farce IMO. That said, consideration is pretty fluid season to season. It's usually the guys with hype to begin the season - LF is one of those - that gain/lose ground.
Usually you need 1 of 2 things: 1) Major player on successful team, or 2) Mind-boggling stats.
I don't think LF needs to run for 2000 yards and 20 TDs to be a finalist. He can run for 1600 and 16 TDs if LSU makes the playoffs. If LSU goes 8-5 again, then he would need more impressive stats.
Again, the Heisman is a joke really. fricking Andre Ware and Chris Weinke are Heisman winners.
Even with that, it's still good hype for LSU.

Since La. players like Billy Cannon and LF are not born every day and Even if they were sometimes they decide to go out of state ( to whom Miles says they can go to hell) - so if we can get a Heisman winner in LF it will draw the best out of state runners to LSU.
if we miss this opportunity then in addition of chasing great pro style QBs away we may also chase great runners away too.

what did we do last year? Or the year before with Hill? Since we're talking about running backs....
Well, last year we ran for 3000 yards.
Year before, we had the most prolific offense in LSU history.
Your move

You mean like LSU dialed the machine up under Nick, or DiNardo, or Curly, or Archer, or Bill, etc?
LSU has never done that in the way other programs have...ever.
Bingo.

You forgot... Fournette is only 1/11 and we need all 11 to beat anyone. Unless you are saying all the other 10 need to do is show up?
