All true. And good arguments. Just trying to say that size doesn't have much to do with that.
FWIW, Kramer was hitting bombs in fall ball his freshman year... his first was off of Nola (the only one he gave up).

You're right that size doesn't necessarily matter. But Robertson doesn't have Fontenot's strength or pop. Not by a long shot.

I remember watching Stevenson as a freshman and saying..."If this kid ever learns to hit...".
He turned out to be one of the best ever! I didn't think we would ever replace Mikie Mahtook but then along comes Stevenson. As I sit here wondering how we'll replace Stevenson, I'm pretty confident another star will soon emerge.

what about him? are we just going to name players who are short and play baseball now? tell me quantifiable information of what kramer brings to the table comparative to the other players who had significant playing time this season for LSU and convince me he's better. Players have improved before....no shite? Players have also just not been able to hack it at this level. So tell me what about Kramer, in particular, makes you believe he specifically will improve?

Whoa whoa whoa...I am all aboard the KRob "not being able to develop his bat" train. I'm just stating that size has nothing to do with it.

Pretty much everyone you listed got much better from their freshman to sophomore season, K.Rob didnt. Some guys just dont have it to play on this level. Not really a big knock against him, maybe he just doesnt have the talent.

Excellent info-- Thanks for the post.

KRob DID. Just not enough to keep Foster or Sciambre out of the lineup.
OP made a perfectly valid point that KRob could improve. He cited others who have improved. He was spot on, thorough and positive. And it was that last one - positive - that got the nega-Tigers going
And then a bunch of idiots started saying KRob is too short. Reasonable people responded that some all-stars were also short. Then the mouth-breathers started ridiculing the comparisons of KRob to these former good players, because ehe's not as good as them. Geez, I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone sometime.

He hit .232 and slugged under .300, I mean, that's not any real improvement.

He's laughing at you using size as knock on a player's ability.
He's laughing because he thinks the height is the qualifier. He's discounting that both guys he listed we 25 lbs heavier and more naturally talented with a bat.

Ir doesn't seem like he improved much to memory but maybe I'm wrong. How did he improve?
Posted on 6/24/15 at 11:44 am to Penrod
The guy rubs me the wrong way. Not only can he not get a ball out of the infield, I can't stand the stupid "selfie" celebration that has been picked up on national television at least 3 times. Drives me insane. What a goober.

Or for Mainieri to give him a longer leash
How can you pull this when Robertson was injured mid way through the season and prob in a more significant way than was put on. He never came back from that. It wasn't him needing a longer leash.
Also, can't talk too much about pop in the bat when Laird and Stevenson hit a combined 2 hr over the fence in their careers.

In the land of blind men, a one eyed man is king. Just because he didn't improve from .200 to .490 doesn't mean he didn't improve. He hit better and raised his average in limited chances.

Kramer Robertson is 5'6" 160 on a good day.

Hey I hope the kid bats .500 but why does everyone love this guy so much. He has over taken the back up QBs spot as an LSU fans favorite player. Someone please explain to me this phenomenon....is it because of his Mom. If that's the case why not cheer for Bryd to over take him. He's the son of an LSU legend. Just mind boggling......

Doesn't seem like a fan favorite to me. I'd say most have wrote him off
