Looking for a new place to go. When we go out to eat it is usually French Market Bistro or Stroubee's. Can you recommend a restaurant that is great. Doesn't have to be fine dinning but if it is great. Looking to try somewhere I've never been. I've been to 18 steak, ruffino's, RC, Sullivan's numerous times as well. Any help would be great. I was thinking La Creole but my other thread changed my mind on that. How about Galatoire or Gino's. Thanks for any suggestions. Geaux Tigers!

Gino's is good, would recommend Nino's as well for Italian.
Fleming's is excellent among places you didn't list, consider Juban's or Mansur's as well for local fine dining options.
Also look up Maison LaCour.

I always enjoy Gino's. I enjoy Galatoire's, as well. For an anniversary, either is fine, but if you haven't been to Nino's, I'd go there for the occasion instead. It's small and quaint and delicious. The other's are delicious, but pretty noisy.
P.S. The admins frown upon two word subjects and sometimes they anchor those threads. You could change yours to Anniversary Dinner in Baton Rouge and avoid that possibility.

Robertos is hidden gem out there on river road.
I always enjoy Bistro Byronz as well.

Latils Landing no if's and's or buts. Go early for drinks, tour the grounds and enjoy a great meal!! They also have some really nice B&B rooms.

If you were considering La Creole then you may want to try Mansur's especially if you like French Market Bistro b/c it's essentially the same menu.
Another God restaurant is Louisiana Langiappe. The food the phenomenal, however, you can't make a reservation and it is usually crowded.
I saw another poster mentioned Latil's Landing. I've gone there for my past two anniversaries and have not been disappointed. If you do go to Latil's Landing you want to bring your own wine b/c their wine list is not impressive at all.

Gino's if you're craving Italian. Personally believe it's the best in the city and he has a great wine program.

Gino's
Seems to have gone downhill a bit since earlier days. I went recently and the lawrence bread was overcooked and hard. However, the crabmeat in angel hair is still great. They were also out of Canelloni and the lasagna was just ok, nothing special.
