So what's the cap hit for cutting him?

Its at the bottom of the article.

quote:

For anyone interested, Galette’s salary cap figure counts for $5.45 million this year, and if the team were to completely dismiss him, they’d lose $16.2 million this year and be charged $10.75 million in dead money.

No other time in the history of Tigerdroppings has there been a more appropriate thread for this:

Just deal with him this year and cut/trade next offseason.

No reason to cut him.

might be better to come back and read what he said when i have to take a dump.

don't have much time for the entitled attitude of today's nfl players.

and sure as hell don't care for what his entourage has to say.

but i'll guess i'll find out one way or another.

social media is a fricking trip man.

Its the video you need to watch, his friend is in the background saying "frick Sean" the whole time junior is running his mouth.

"frickers talking about a pec injury, my neck hurt from wearing this chain. 60 or better. 60 guaranteed."

oh wow.

i'm all for people fricking around and cutting loose but what a moron.

wonder what he was thinking. Hey, I'm making good money now so you know what? I'm gonna make a video that should draw some attention to me. It can't be good attention though. I'll even get some of my buddies who have nothing to lose to join me.

whats the worst that could happen?

I hated the big money contract the moment it was in the news. This is someone who has no pride in his work and clearly has no appreciation for anything/everything that goes into paying him his guaranteed money. He'll be broke by 40 and complain about everyone but himself as a reason for his pathetic life.

Only thing I heard him say was the chain comment, then his friends spouted off some shite(like the 60 stuff; he didn't say that). So much ado about nothing.

Are people really being that sensitive?

It's a classic story really.

Boy has a dream of playing in NFL.
Boy practices real hard and goes to college.
Boy plays good but no team draft's him.
Boy can't give up on dream so
Boy signs on as a long shot walk on to NFL team.
Boy gives 110% and impresses coaches.
Boy gets playing time and shows coaches he's a special player.
Boy earns big NFL contract because of his desire to be great.
Boy notices a lot more friends now that he has a pay check.
Boy likes feeling of being a star.
Boy likes being a star more than being a NFL player.
Boy's friends act like asses, and boy want to fit in so acts like an arse too.
Boy throws gasoline on bridge that got him to NFL and lights it on fire.
Boy lives life as OT baller until money runs out.
Boy looks but can't find friends.

Common thread of story.

BOY.........Not MAN.....

Junior needs to learn what JFF found out the hard way: pick better friends.

Probably doesn't care anyway.

We just need to cut him. He's not worth the head ache or locker room cancer. I know financially it isn't the smartest thing to do but neither was giving him that large contract to begin with. The talent is there but the attitude is fricking horrendous.

We can't afford it due to the prorated bonus.

The best case scenario is that the NFL comes down on him with the domestic violence issue...which triggers a clause in his contract that gives the Saints an out.

seems like New Orleans should have drafted a defensive end with their 1st first round pick in this year draft.
