If ULL keeps "saving their best pitcher" then they will go home

All night I've read from ULL fans, "no big deal, we have saved our best two pitchers." Why the hell would anyone spot the other team a first game win in a super regional in favor of playing their best guy in game three? If these comments are remotely true, ULL fans should be pissed at Tony Robicheaux's strategy.

I'm sure their coach knows what he's doing. He might be giving his guys a full week of rest. Also, the guy they pitched last night was brilliant. How can you be pissed about that decision?

Their best chance was to "concede" the game 1 start to Lange (and they almost won), take your chances with your ace against Poche, and then game 3 is a free-for-all against LSU's bullpen and/or Bain

Because we thought it was a bad idea to start our ace vs LSUs ace?
UL doesn't have the firepower to match LSU on the mound. Last night, the stars starting to align for us but all along we were just hoping to steal the 1st game, never thought it would be close though. Tony's plan has been about Leger wining tonight and getting the ball to Guillory on Monday. I don't think anyone on the UL side is second guessing Tony.

Robichaux conceded that Lange would dominate. Nothing stupid about that. Leger wouldn't have 5 hit us, so in hindsight it was a pretty good play on his part.

LOL - UL - Just funny people call them that.
Sorry - just makes me laugh.

Well you Cajun fricks better get with the program. This is the goddamn tiger rant and we question everything our national title winning coaches do concerning their respective sports because dammit we just know that we know better

He is a heck of a coach and he has built a great program given what he has to work with.

How was it a bad decision? The #3 guy limited lsu to 4 hits. Lange is one of the top pitchers in the country. Lots of teams would roll the dice and put in a #2 or 3 guy against him knowing he won't give up many runs and if you lose save your best arms for better matchups the next 2 days.

I see that but it's okay to second guess Lange going back on the mound in the 9th if you are an LSU fan.

No it's not. You are a Negatiger and you hate LSU.

It's funny how this board forgets teams throwing their #2 or #3 against Nola last year and pretty much conceding a loss.

Not true at all...
I like LSU and pull for them most of the time. Analyst on the SEC Network were second guessing CPMs move to let Lange back on the mound after the 8th.

Robichaux would have looked like a genius had U-L-L pulled out that game last night, and the Cajuns nearly did.
U-L-L still has a chance considering the team that has to win the super regional has to win TWO games, and LSU has only won ONE. So let's pump the brakes on how big of an idiot Robichaux might be until/unless LSU wins a SECOND game.

I have a feeling our bats explode tonight...bye peppers.

Robe is not pitching freshmen on short rest after they throw a ton of innings. He wasn't saving Leger for an advantage, he saved him to get his normal rest.

I get the logic behind the decision but to me shows lack of confidence in his team to go out and beat the guy.

A lot of people, especially the older fans, still call them this. Of all the things I've heard people call them it's almost never louisiana.
