Lost my sunglasses. Gonna replace with a pair of Costas (Jose specifically). Does the OB recommend polycarbonate or glass lenses?

What are the pros and cons of each?

I'm buying poly next time. Just as clear and half the weight of glass lenses

Pro: Harder to Scratch
Con: Heavier - not that it really matters

I have the poly costa lenses. I'm rough on my sunglasses and they held up really well. They're durable and a bit cheaper. Next time, I'm definitely getting the glass lenses. Your eyes can be seen in heavy sunlight with the poly. That's a no no when it comes to checking out barely legal chicks on the beach. Other than that, no drawbacks I have noticed. Maybe a bit less fashionable

I have the 580p right now and I'm probably going to get the glass next time. I hate that you can see my eyes in these.

ETA: Does anyone know if I can just send these back to Costa and they'll switch the lens? Id pay the upgrade obviously. Sorry for the hijack.
