With AG on board let's take the time now and discuss the future of the roster.

Current:

Holiday/Evans
Gordon/Cole
Pondexter/????
Davis/Anderson
Asik/Ajinca

The 2 biggest questions IMO are Asik/Tyreke. Will AG put up with everyone's favorite knucklehead hero? Will Asik be able to flourish in this drastically higher paced system like in HOU?

I think guys like EG and Ryno are locks to stay for now.

Reke is interesting. You would think he could fit on a team like this but he doesn't move without the ball that much, seemed to revel in slow pace, etc.

And I don't get Asik's fit here. People will bring up Bogut but Bogut can actually catch a ball. Maybe that works but we go lots of small ball with AD at Center.

You have to make multiple trades and get good value back to overcome letting Asik walk. As limited as he is, he's still much better than who you have cap space to replace him with. And when you use something like the MLE to replace him, you're not using the MLE on a wing like Gerald Green. They're kind of stuck with Asik for a year at least.

Please NO!!!

Unless he learns to play the 3.

Power forwards and Centers will always destroy him in the post

He needs to be traded to give us a true 3, and then we need Tristan Thompson lol

If not Tristian, anyone who can guard 4 and 5, and can actually jump and rebound

I think they try and trade Tyreke although they may not end up doing so depending on what is offered in return. Sign and trade for Asik seems very possible as well.

Trading Asik doesn't do much for us

Asik won't do much in the fast paced scheme . Too slow and clumsy

I feel sure that one good thing about this upcoming year is that I won't have to listen to Joel Myers constantly worrying that Reke won't get the ball into the frontcourt in 8 seconds.

And pass.

But he is always the last option on offense- that even he is skilled just makes the Warriors the Warriors. He is often setting hard screens and doing the dirty work down low. And he is the anchor on defense. He only played about 25MPG in both the playoffs and regular season. Asik can approximate these skills.

I also think looking at Davis as a turbocharged Draymond Green is interesting when talking about Bogut/Asik. Will be interesting to see how much they do put Davis at the 5. Regular season, I don't think it needs to happen often, but it will be necessary in the playoffs.

I think if anything, it means they won't break the bank to keep Asik. If they would have gone with a defensive coach I could see them spending a little more to keep him, but I don't see them paying much more than 10 mil per, if they are only going to play him ~25 minutes per game.

As far as Tyreke goes, I hope they can trade him for a legit wing, but that's probably a pipe dream. Maybe he can fill the Manu role out in San Antonio
