Wow! Watched it twice last night, checked the thread when it was only about 13 pages and finally came back to post...and spent a good bit of time catching up to page 30. Thoughts on last two episodes:
- Jon returns to the Wall with the Wildlings. Tensions build even higher due to hate for the Wildlings, fear of Wun Wun, more mouths to feed and the feeling that Jon sacrificed men of the Night's Watch to save them. Now the Wildlings outnumber the Crows. Jon learns of Aemon's death and the attack on Sam and Gilly and decides to send Sam to Oldtown with Gilly so that he can become a maester and she is out of harm's way. This is seen as another breach of the vows by some of the brothers who believe that Jon is releasing Sam from his vows to be with Gilly, a wildling woman. It also removes another of Jon's strongest allies.
There are a lot of things that could happen next. Maybe Sansa escapes and they bring her back to Jon at the Wall. She tells him about all of the bad shite at Winterfell and, the capper, tells him that Bran and Rickon are alive out there somewhere and this spurs him to leave the Wall. That said, I don't think that happens. More likely that after Sam leaves, an altercation happens and Wun Wun kills someone, like in the books, and we get FTW with Thorne, Ollie and a few others stabbing Jon as the final scene of this season.

We've been traveling and didn't get to watch until last night.
Interesting that now the show has really reached a passing point (with regards to the books) on Valyrian steel - that was always something we've assumed would work on Others/White Walkers but haven't seen it confirmed.
I was just thinking - give Longclaw to the giant and there won't be any problems.

Finally watched it last night. The episode was epic. That scene at the end when all of the people left at Hardhomme had been killed, all the weights stopped and stood still, then the white walker raised his hands and all the dead joined the weights was simply chilling. As a kid, that would have given me nightmares, easily. One of the best episodes of the series so far.
You know it was a good episode when the Arya scenes are among the most boring.

Someone posting about a mutiny against Jon in that Hodor spinoff thread
Not that unthinkable. The look on Ollie's face when Sam said "Sometimes we have to do things that seem wrong to others, bt we know is right" confirmed my suspicions that Ollie is going to bust a cap Jon's crow arse.

So on the (never would happen in a million years) chance that Danny would have showed Jorah intimacy, would he go so far as to expose her to greyscale without telling her?

Anyone else think some type of super natural death awaits Ramsay? I think either he gets roasted by Mel or him and his men get intercepted by the Others.
I think Ramsay's ultimate death is being taken by the Others, but I do think he survives the season. I think Ramsay leaving Winterfell will actually lead to his survival and his strategy is the right one. I think LF left a fully planned mutiny behind just waiting for Stannis, and Roose will be the one to be killed.

I was coming to post this very thing since I didn't read it in here. I am now thinking Ollie ends up putting a couple arrows in him by himself instead of a group of mutineers. I think alliser has gained respect for him too much to be a part of murdering him without justification.

My theory is that as soon as Ramsey leaves Winterfell, Sansa will make a beeline to the tower and light the candle. Then Brienne will help her and Theon escape. I think that next season Brienne, Sansa, Theon, and Pod (although I think one of them dies during the escape out of Winterfell) will travel the North searching for Rickon and Bran, while killing Boltons and rallying Northern supporters.
I think that LF's plan was just to let Stannis and Roose battle it out, and he'd have a plan in place in either outcome (hence his conversation with Cersei this season).
I have a feeling that Ramsey's little 20 person raid will be quite effective though, and will probably weaken Stannis' army (possibly even killing Stannis), and they will be forced back to Castle Black (which will probably be done at the beginning of next season).
I may be going full hodor on some of that though.

Question
Why hasn't Varys showed up to meet Danny?
Isn't that a little bit strange?

Because he deliberately tipped off Jorah to take Tyrion to her for him. He's heading back to Westeros to kill Kevan.

Then he has become a Lanister killer in his own right.
Unless he is trying to pacify Cersi?

Probably because he knew that if he showed up she would've probably executed his arse. He was the one responsible for spying on her all her life. You heard her conversation with Tyrion.
His plan probably always was to get to Meereen and basically walk Tyrion up to the front door, ring the doorbell and run around the corner. Now that Tyrion has had time to grease the wheels, he may either show up or decide to remain in the shadows and talk to Tyrion in secret (although is Dany found out she'd go ballistic).
ETA: Or like Landshark said, he could be heading back to Westeros like in the books (although that storyline might be hard to execute on the show with time constraints and all).

I agree, I don't think if he was alive he would have allowed Ramsey to write/send the Bastard Letter.

Cersi knows he let Tyrion free and is partly responsible for Tywins death.
Why is Varys going to get a free pass in kings landing or Westeros for that matter?

He's not. I'm just suggesting it will happen as it did in the books, in that he'll sneak in through the bowels of the Red Keep.

Just have Kevan in the next episode forcing Cersei to confess to fricking Lancel and denying the other allegations, have him appear at the end of the Walk of Shame, and then kill him like in the books.

add one or two scene's where he is boss as the Hand of the king to show his worth. I would be fine if he got axed early next season

I agree, I think the mutiny scene is changed.
Especially when the surviors of Hardhomme return.
Think about it.. It's not just the rantings of wildlings now. A dozen or so surviving Night's Watchmen and all of Stannis' sailors saw that. The stories coming back from Hardhomme will change things.
How can this not spread in the seven kingdoms now?
Hardhomme didn't happen like this. This was a huge scene that will shape the focus of the entire series moving forward.

I expect the next book to be released before the next season begins, so while it's possible that the show will spoil something big, I think it's more likely that we'll get the cliffhangers from DwD (more than enough of them), along with smaller reveals and book deviations. By next season, we'll know the answers to a lot of big questions.

This is not directly related but have they completely not doing a Lady Stoneheart in the show. I've been looking forward to seeing that in the show but they may just skip it to have something significant that happens in the book exclusively since the show is almost completely passed the books
