In the same vein, The Black Cauldron. The Prydain series was one of my favorites as a kid. If done right they could be great young adult fare. Instead Disney produced a flop and I guess they are just sitting on the rights to the series.

I would agree with you except isn't a cameo when an actor portrays themselves?

Eh you say tomato I say cameo

Nah it's just a small role played by someone famous.
He was also great in the Breakup which is not a great movie but he is hilarious as Anniston's gay coworker.

I'm curious what is everyone's dis on Idiocracy? It's not the greatest comedy ever made, but I've always thought it was really good.
What mark did it miss? What parts could have been better?

They just had no budget, and it showed. I love the movie for the screenplay alone, but I wish he'd had more money with which to make it.

Interesting point. Check IMdB for all the cameos you see. Look for whether they're listed as playing "himself"/"herself" or whether they're listed as playing their name, i.e. Neil Patrick Harris is listed as playing "Neil Patrick Harris" in "Harold and Kumar." That means they're playing a character based on themselves. It's not an idle matter for these people, who care about image and want to make it clear that the "character" they play as themself isn't really who they are in real life.

No, you don't have to be playing yourself for it to be a cameo. For example, numerous actors played cameos in A Million Ways to Die in the West, and none were playing themselves.

The symbolism in this movie could have been epic.

Twilight - book and movie
Hunger games - book and movie.
Both have good concepts, but immediately turn to shite.

Hmm? I didn't define what a cameo was. I just pointed out an interesting aspect of how actors being themselves vs portraying themselves works when being credited.

The Purge
The Strangers pulled off the home invasion thriller much better.

Underrated movie IMHO. Liv was very believable. There was another home invasion that was great. Foreign movie called Fun Games? Can't remember.
