No flame. Just a question.

If so, how many championships should we win in a ten year span?

Sorry, I thought our group has been a little boring the past few days. Thought this might get you going.

MLB does. It's a tough game to find the right players with only 11.7 scholarships. So we might get 2 or 3 of the "best players" in a signing class. But so do about 15 other teams.

Best possible, but MLB take the best. With a double elimination format, anything can happen in baseball. If it were a set of series you'd see the same power teams win more often. 2 losses is nothing in baseball and makes it much less predictable.

About one every 10 years.
We get some of the best, but so do another 10 programs or so.

PM does pretty well with keeping us in the mix. National seed for 4 straight years is about as good as anyone in the country has done.

As others have said it is shaky with the mlb draft. You have to recruit the best but some may go pro before college. Regular season has shown we are a top 5 program. We need a good run in Omaha since it has been a while but baseball is much different than football Amd basketball. The program is healthy and can win any year but the pressure is on to deliver deep in the NCAA tourney. The current coaching staff is strong and will deliver but it is easy to criticize when we don't go all they way. Everyone in the country respects our program and knows it is capable winning any yeAr.

Just off the top of my head I'll guess that in any given year out of the top 50 HS baseball prospects, 45 will go to MLB and 5 to college, and it's a miracle that the colleges even get that many.

Unlike colleges, MLB can make these top kids offers they can't refuse.

MLB gets best players

than colleges get guys who either really want to go to college or are drafted low enough to need to come to college.

college baseball is a much different sport now than it was in the 90s. IF LSU won 2 championships in 10 years that would be very impressive.
