Started watching videos on this game yesterday. I had known about it and decided yesterday to see what everyone was so excited about. Needless to say, I watched over a dozen long as videos, reviews and caught up on the story thus far. Today I went and pre-ordered. I'm pumped.

Whatsup everyone - I am burnt out on GTAV and Forza Horizon 2 and would like to branch out to something different and am highly considering picking up Witcher 3. With that being said I have never played an RPG before and I have read a lot about the game but I just do not know if I might like the style of play. The storyline and artistic aspects of it seem really intriguing but the only comparisons I have seen are also to games that I have never played or even seen in person and there seem to be a lot of mixed reviews around the net and even on this thread. I have read the first 15 pages or so of the thread but I don't want to read on and see all of the spoilers and storyline stuff in case I do decide to experience it myself.
Any advice on what to do to really understand how a game like this plays aside from youtube vids or just buying it and giving it a shot?

I beat B&W last night and I've got a question about one of the endings.
*SPOILER ALERT*
I'm not sure about all the endings, but in mine I had Triss meet me at my vineyard. During our conversation Geralt asked what the future looked like for him or something to that extent and she said that she wasn't going to tell him and that it was going to be a surprise. Geralt had a slight smirk on his face too, so I'm guessing that this isn't the last we see of Geralt or The Witcher series? I might be overthinking it, but that's the impression I got. I would love for another one
