Anyone think this is a little awkward. I am sure it wasn't his choice and they told him he had to call this game, but i think its a little awkward, but he is a professional and will do well.

*I know he has called games before, but its the playoffs and it is different

No. Tons of commentators are former fired coaches.

One year removed? Did he throw some jabs at GS during the season?

Pretty sure he did a game or two in the first round series.

It was funny when he was talking about Kerr. He's done very well though.

He made a joke about how luckily Popovich has job security because usually when you lose to the Clippers in a game 7, you get fired

I remember after Michigan fired Rich Rodriguez he was working in CBS studios for a year and he interviewed Brady Hoke after they hired him. That was awkward...

It is always awkward...Jackson has a slight rustle when he does GS games.

They did him wrong but it was the right move ultimately

Pretty sure Hoke and Harbaugh had a similar situation in January.

The great ones do not care what game they call, cramps or former team they just tell themselves " not today"

He was hated internally and underachieved big time, which is why he's still broadcasting in a league loaded with retread coaches. They did him right by even giving him an opportunity.

Know how I know Mark Jackson is a shitty coach? Golden State's best lineup this year did not play ONE MINUTE together last year under Jackson. lulz

He's done pretty well overall, but that ending was brutal.
