I like Beverly's energy and his value comes against the Chris Paul, Tony Parker types, but I really appreciate the steady play of Pablo and Jet.

Honestly, if we close out this series and win the next series in dominant fashion, thanks but no thanks, Bev.

Love how he fouls in the open court when the other team has a break. Saves 2 Pts almost every game doing that.

Oh there were numerous other issues that were more important to the game, but you aren't winning if Raymond Felton is playing crunch time minutes.

To Morey
did work since losing parsons/bosh resigning in Miami.

Agreed.

The mavericks team on the floor tonight was a really bad 3 point shooting team.
This, I agree with. Jumped in late and didn't realize that was the point you were making.

He'll be back in the starting lineup I imagine. If he plays poorly they'll bench him esp if terry / prig keep playing well.

Shaq is an idiot. He said Rondo has zero responsibility for not being interested in the series.
No, I think he was saying that's not an excuse for the mavs when they had so many other things going wrong that Rondo had nothing to do with.
Its also ridiculous how much focus there was on Rondo in their discussion despite the fact that he only played 36 seconds in the 2nd half. Its obvious they havent been watching Rondo the last 2 years....he isn't the Boston Celtics playoff Rondo and hasn't been for quite awhile, and they need to stop expecting "the real Rondo" to show up out of nowhere. Rondo has been meh the entire season.

This. He cobbled together a decent finish to the season but has been underwhelming overall.

I think part of his time in Boston, and even in Dallas he has struggle because he's just disinterested. I made the point earlier, and then Kenny Smith echoed my statement that he's similar to Josh Smith. A star, with a lot of talent, who when he's in the right situation can be a big addition to your team. But when he's on the wrong team he can be a cancer.
I guess there's something in the air at Oak Hill

Gosh Ludacris looks like a freaking midget compared to all these guys.

Prigioni has been sneaky good this series. He just does everything so fundamentally well, especially that running floater and bank shots.

Well, if your starting PG is only playing 36 seconds in the second half, something is wrong.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Mavs start Devin Harris in game 3 if he's back from injury. If he's still unavailable, I could even see Carlisle starting JJ.

No, it isn't. The Mavs gave up three rotation players to get him which put them in a depth bind that they still have issues with. The fact that he essentially took himself out of the game doomed the team b/c by the time the 4th rolled around you could tell that JJB and Felton were gassed b/c they aren't used to carrying such a load. He screwed his teammates by coming out with a DGAF attitude. That he was so out of it he was better off on the bench is huge deal w/him being the starting PG.

Again sorry but that doesn't matter. There is a HUGE difference between Rondo being "old Rondo" and him playing with his head in the clouds like he doesn't give a shite.
He wasn't yanked for playing poorly, he was yanked b/c he flat out wasn't trying hard. Carlisle won't yank a dude like that if he is busting his arse. Rondo wasn't even trying out there so it's 100% on him.
Who gives a shite if he is mad that he can't run the team the way he wants? He still has to try. When Jason Kidd was fed up with Avery he didn't pout and foul his man for no good reason. He didn't start flinging lazy passes all over the court. He didn't walk up the court so non-nonchalantly that he earned an 8 second violation. Rondo did all of this and there is flat out no excuse for it regardless of his current skill level. Never mind that we all saw in game 1 what a Rondo with his head screwed on can do for Dallas. That guy wasn't in the building last night and he has nobody to blame but himself.
Just a few days ago I was saying how I thought Dallas would keep Rondo over Monta but I've done a complete 180 on that. Monta for all his faults at least tries his damnedest when he is on the court. He may make foolish decisions, drift too much looking for steals, and get pissed when he doesn't draw a foul but he is at least working hard.
Is it really that much to ask that Rondo works hard? He doesn't have to win the game but he at least has to mentally show up.

This is probably the worst thing I've ever seen an NBA starting point guard ever do. Then immediately following the violation he gave up a uncontested three. The Point Guard is supposed to be the leader and set the tempo. If I was a coach and my point guard did that, I would do just what Carlisle did and bench his arse the rest of the game.

I know Mavs fans get frustrated over Ellis for his lack of defense, but when he gets hot, he is very scary offensively. I'm just glad the Rockets didn't give up what the Celtics were wanting for Rondo, cause at one point I thought they were going to.

Rockets have looked great. Semis should be fantastic.

If Rondo gets perma benched I think it would be Felton that Dallas inserted as the starter TBH. That way they can just make Monta the primary ball handler early on while keeping some semblance of continuity w/the second unit. Felton actually played semi decent defense on Harden as well.
