Gives me cold sweats thinking about fishing that slow.
I am definately a "burn and turn" guy, but I love pulling that senko up to the top and letting it fall.
Every single fish I have caught this year has been on a senko, 99% of them it was wacky rigged (4 days on Toledo and 1 day on Caddo).

In a rocky/sandy river, 1/8oz white buzz bait for spots.
1/4oz chartreuse, green & white double gold blade humdinger in the basin or south LA.

Black/Blue Laminate or Black/Blue flake I can never find the blake/blue flake in person?
A close second is probably a Berkley Havoc Pit Boss

If I was stranded with only one bait, it would be a crawfish colored Beetle Spin. The smallest size with the tails.
Any day that I've been almost skunked, I've caught at least a few fish of various species on that bait - bass, sacs, bream, and catfish.

I almost always start my day using a Yellow Magic popper, usually in Bone. It works great when you walk the dog with it and you can't beat a topwater strike.
Later in the morning, my go to lure is a Yum Dinger rigged Texas style with a weight pegged about 16" above the bait.

I have two rods always rigged with my go-to lures..... one with a texas-rigged worm (usually a junebug, motor oil, or black) and the other with smaller-ish spinnerbait (like the little strike kings or boo yahs) in various 'darker' colors.

A 1/4 oz Chartreuse and white Humdinger with tandem gold colorado and willowleaf blades is probably my number one, followed by a rainforest black Spro frog. It doesn't get much better than catching them on a frog!

Anything salt water - Tsunami.
Bass - Purple Nurple or Pumpkin Senko with a finishing nail in each end.
Perch - Night crawlers.
Choupic - Cut Perch that don't make the cut.
In reverse order of my favorites to eat.

I always have a weightless senko and a shakey head tied up, usually both are on the front deck.

I don't, and I think that's part of my recent problems. I never fish a Tx. rig worm anymore.

Part of that is-I avoid summer fishing unless I have to. Even then, I search for schoolies. If I am on a natural lake, I pitch anything but a worm. Creature/tube/craw. If fishing summer grass, my go to is a very short South Carolina rig with a finesse or trick worm or even a centipede.
