Just stating the rules...lol...ground rules are your field's problem areas and other textbook live and dead areas....jus saying technically the ball wasnt live because it went beyond the field of play...if lsu explained this beforehand as being a live part of the field and the ku coach agreed then ku coach was wrong for agreeing imo...it cost him more runs..if you know the rules and not a moron like these plugs here, you know what im saying..

Except that the ball was not beyond the field of play. Basically in Alex Box if you can reach it, the ball is in play. The only spot really out of play is behind the tarp or in the stands.

If a ball crosses your imaginary line, hits top of padding and comes back into the field....what does your rule book say happens?

1. You're an idiot

2. You do realize the yellow line in Alex Box isn't a HR, but in other parks it is? Learn the ground rules.

Not really matter of agreeing or not. More like being informed of the rule already in place for that particular venue. How hard is this to understand?

You should be banned from game threads along with the handful of jackasses last night that didn't know a run doesn't count on a forced third out. To your credit, you're only half the idiot they were. That sums up the rant... "Tiger Rant - we don't know the basic rules of sports, but dammit all our coaches are morons"

No

No you are not

You are stating the general rules which fit your narrative. If you look at the rules in their entirety, including the ground rules, you would see that you are 100% incorrect.

This is where you are wrong. You are confusing padding infront of the fence with the fence it self. Exhibit A:

According to your thought process the "dead ball" area is an imaginary line extending from the furthermost point on the padding down to the ground - this is just wrong. That would make any ball that rolls up against the bottom of this fence out of play.

Also, many many parks have this type of padding and LSU is not the only one that considers it to be a live ball.
