I find that I am wasting my life and time being this invested in LSU sports. I thought I would get better as I get older but I havent. I've got to stop caring so much but I just really don't know how to pump the breaks. It's almost a bad addiction. I'm about to make myself check out emotionally but not being so dead set on watching every game, going as often as I can and wasting my evenings sitting in front of the tv or at a ballpark just to get pissed off.

Rant over. In before STFU, you're a pussy, etc...

If it makes you feel better man, I'm the same way. I swore off of Lsu basketball after the Tennessee loss, and just like that they roped me back in.

No, you're not the only one. Sometimes I have to turn off the game lest I get too involved.

I'm not done with LSU, but I might be done with TD for a while.

40% of the posters spewing their vile on the basketball loss tonight haven't posted one time all season regarding the basketball team. Another 40% only come out when LSU loses for a nice old told-you-so.

There are a good 20% - I know you - that have been here all along, understand we choked this game away, but also know it's not the end all of end alls.

You have some "LSU fans" wanting Ben Simmons to expore his options. WTF people. It was an NCAAT loss. NCAAT. Haven't seen it in 5 years. But lose in it as an underdog and lower seed AND BOOM - dismantle the program.

It's much worse for football with me. Like many have said, this team this year hurt me a lot game to game showing so much promise only to lay an egg the next. It was a fitting end...as painful as it was.

Everyone on here (besides Paige) is strongly attached to the team. This was a frustrating year in both football and basketball but the future has potential

It is normal when you are young. Been there! I'm 47 years old. I get upset after a dumbfounded loss but try to understand the bigger picture.

1. LSU was not going to win the whole tournament. 100-1 odds.

2. LSU's depth was probably going to cost them against Villanova.

3. LSU does not have the best talent in CBB.

4. Baylor and Iowa State lost. Most games were decided by 1-4 points .

Disconnect emotionally by not getting worked by preseason hype and recruits. Only 1 team will win the National Championship and it wasn't going to be LSU this season.

Don't let idiots tell you you're a bad person because you get mad your favorite team lost. They are not fans, have ZERO passion, and I have no patience for them.

The moment you become destructive to yourself or others, then check yourself. But if you're just really down right now, no worries. I'm the same way.

The one word I would use to describe being an LSU fan: Joy. Cheering for the Tigers can be frustrating, exciting, infuriating, exhilerating, etc. at one time or another, but the entire experience is nothing short of joyful. Even in your despair, don't forget this. And the people that assault you on here for being a passionate fan are a cancer to this entire amazing, wonderful fanbase. Those that call LSU fans the worst need only look in a mirror.

I'm the same way. It's in my DNA. Not sure what the benefits are of being an LSU fan at times. Just seems to be pain most of the time.

Obviously not just you. 1/9 caused me to seriously reevaluate. Kind if like people who get dumped or cheated on by the first people they open themselves up to.

It's been better since then, and obviously had some horrible, and down right ridiculous losses (last night, Stoney Brook, notre dame/Clemson choke jobs)

No. You're not the only one. LSU sports was all I had growing up. I would get sick when they lost but always remained a Tiger Fan. Now, I've developed into this really sore loser & are reevaluating things. I only played sports at little league level but have followed LSU religiously throughout my life. After a loss like last night, I consider putting all my memorabilia in a box & just moving on. Next day I'm back on the wagon. Losing is not fun. Losing like they did last night was downright painful. Life goes on. "Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains"'...from the movie, Bull Durham.

. Me too. I was just thinking how I can stop following LSU to the point I don't care so much one way or the other. It is frankly a massive waste of valuable time and emotion over something you have no control over.

I used to be like that, then I hit 30 and wondered why I was so invested in what a bunch of kids 10 years younger than me were doing.

I still care, but it doesn't ruin my day anymore when LSU loses.
