The Ags should pony it up, they got it.
Chavis signed the contract, he can't just unsigned it. Maybe that is why he goes by Chief, they were never good with treaties

Nice try but it doesn't matter if he was employed by us if he was representing aTm that will suffice legally. If you're right then a coach could dress in someone else's gear and get them in trouble.

Frack no, we won't let go. We want out money and we want it now.

quote:I don't agree with that....I think Chavis was feeling under appreciated and A&M was in desperate need for a top tier DC.
The whole situation was intended to harm LSU in many ways

it just didn't all work out like Sumlim and Chavis planned.

what is the deal with you paranoid masochists? our AD Compliance Department is so fricking compliant that we just received one of the most ridiculous recruiting violations evar (there has been quite a bit of national consensus to this effect). do you really think that they didn't vet the shite out of O before his contract was signed?
if you called the cops on someone who mugged you, would you then also tell the cops that you mugged a guy two weeks ago and hadn't yet been caught?

No Dimwit. LSU will not let it go and shouldn't. This is a breach of contract stirred up by a conference rival. LSU will not sit by and take some crap like this. This is exactly why you put penalties in the contracts to begin with so some pouting little punk arse coach can't get his feelings hurt & when he doesn't get his way and runs off and aids a conference member behind your back. Chavis acted in a very underhanded and unprofessional manner. The turd didn't even say goodbye to his players.
In addition, as a Kentucky fan you should leave football matters to the REAL football playing schools

Multiple sources say aTm agreed from the beginning to pay the buy out. aTm doesn't feel "they" need to compensate LSU hence the lawsuit involving aTm, Chavis, and LSU.

they have asked Texas A&M to decide which way it wants to go: pay the buyout or be turned in for NCAA violations

Any website have a copy of Chief's contract?

I hope A&M gets pissed for him dragging them into this situation with potential recruiting violation and fires his fat arse.
This is where I disagree. A&M created this situation by trying to be slick and hire him away from LSU while still under contract in a lateral move from a team in your own division. They were simply trying to make a power play and it somewhat backfired. If Miles had any respect for Sumlin it should be out the window now.
Btw, after what the SEC did just recently and with Valentine last year, they shouldn't be knocking on LSU's doors for any favors.

Aggie friend of mine just said that A&M shouldn't have to pay the buyout because LSU didn't pay them after backing out of games in the 90s.

Statute of limitations is up on that, has no bearing on the current law suit

Looks like Chavis is being surrounded in the pocket like Johnny Football trying to scramble to his right vs the Tigers.
