My first born son would have made thirteen today. He was given only a 5 percent chance of being born alive. He made that and I was proud of him so much for being a fighter. By his third day on this cruel planet he caught an infection in the NICU.
He lived for four more days until he couldn't fight no longer. The pain has never left my heart since. It gets worse during this time of year . I close my eyes to try to sleep and I see him in his little bed fighting to live and it tears me apart .
Any way I needed to vent. I love you always my boy my teacher of life . Love you Brandon!!

I can't imagine how hard that must be. I hope you find comfort somehow.

I just sent some good vibes your way. You're a strong man. I'm not sure how I would be able to cope. A miscarriage has sent me into some dark spots, could only imagine seeing my little man then losing him.

My heart goes out to you. That is a horribly tragic thing for you to have to live through, I hope you can eventually find as much peace with this part of your life as possible.
I have good friends who lost a daughter in an automobile accident when she was ten years-old. Words cannot describe this pain and sadness. It hurts me to write this.

No worries, nothing wrong with having to vent

I searched for words to comfort and console you, but I found none. Truly an inconsolable situation. I hope you find peace.

You're a stronger man than I.

Very sorry to hear about your loss, and although he was taken too soon, I hope that more often than not your sadness turns to gratefulness that you had a week to spend with the little guy. I know that's not a switch you can turn on and off but I do hope that for you.

I can't imagine, I have a 11 month daugther and am thankful everyday that she was born healthy.
So much so, that I almost don't want to have another and roll the dice again. That being said, she is so worth everything.
Prayers sent man.
Side note: my uncle was killed by a drunk driver the year before I was born (1983) and my grandmother has told me that she thinks about him everyday. He would be 50 this year.

My great aunt and uncle lost a child in infancy. Once when they were in their eighties I went to the cemetary with them, and the pain was still there. They talked about it like it had recently happened. I don't think you ever forget.
A dear friend of mine lost her son to suicide. I don't know how anyone can cope with that, but she is trying to make something good come of it by raising awareness about mental illness. She's incredibly courageous in sharing her tragedy so openly.

I had a friend (32 years old) who I went to high school with. Was kind of a spoiled kid, we played golf together in middle and high school and he always had the best clubs, etc.
Fast forward to this weekend: haven't seen him in 5 years+, he OD-ed saturday night...they think it was intentional. Gives me a really sick feeling

Two different families I know have lost their only child due to texting and driving. I can't imagine their pain. It breaks my heart to see them suffer. Prayers to you. Life is so fragile.

Sorry for your loss. My brother was murdered in 1993 and my mom has never been the same since that day. What a horrible thing to lose a child. I can't imagine anything worse.

I so very sorry for your loss. I can't begin to know how that must hurt. My words can't offer much help but my prayer can and you and your family have them.

I lost my son, Henry, on February 12, 2013. He was a full term baby with nothing wrong. Then all the sudden he was gone. Devastated us. We are blessed with Henry's older brother and now have his little brother and another on the way. I don't post on here much but always like talking about him. It makes me feel he is not forgotten. Now that we've had more kids, I think others kind of feel like they are a replacement , but nothing ever fills that void.
I'll be praying for you today. I hope that he is remember with love by all those around you.
