Might as well just shut him down, and working on trying to get him ready for 2016. He's got a 4 year deal, see if you can get the final two years out of him.

s of late January, Clowney could bear no weight on his knee.

wow.

One hopes he put most of his pay in safe investments.

While I pine for the good old days of senior lines, it is nice that he got a pay day.

How anyone wasted a number one pick on someone that played <20% of downs his last year in college due to chronic injuries and was/is just an all around POS is beyond me.

His work ethic in college was questioned constantly and he was called out by his own head coach multiple times, and that was while he actually had incentive to play hard because he wasnt drafted yet. You want to rest your livelihood on a player like that?

Talent always trumps character in the pros. Don't know what else to say. It'll always be that way.

People are going too far. How is he an all around POS?

Can you label someone a bust because of injury? He hurt his knee because of Houston's SHITTY turf. Multiple players from the Texans have came out and said such about it. I don't think it's fair to call him a bust because of injury when he only played four games. Just my two cents.

Some scout or analyst was talking about this last year -- that Mack was a better bet than Clowney. The problem is that the Mel Kipers and Todd McShays spend months hyping Clowney and it's too hard to beat the hype. If you are a coach or GM, it is tough to tell your owner "frick what Mel Kiper says. Mack is the better pick"

If that were the case Mel wouldn't have had to beg teams to draft Jimmy Clausen for 5 hours in 06. Having Clowney over Mack predraft isn't an ESPN creation. If Clowney wasn't injured he and Watt would be a devastating combo.
