With 88 on lease you'll be flying them a lot more. The up gauge is real, our management basically sees what Delta does and has us model it out. There is serious talk that we will buy B6s ERJ 190s and use them like DL to replace 50 sweaters.

You always feel like such a bitch pulling up in ATL in your little CRJ coke can out of BTR with 767s and the like passing by.

The MD-88 is a great plane but those JT8D engines are way too fuel inefficient, DL has done a good job limiting them to shorter stage lengths and AA is retiring as fast as they can.

It's all headed towards a duopoly. Sorry Bombardier.

Why do you hate the MDs? Crews hate the 90 cause the galley is too small for a 4 person cabin crew, but i always enjoyed riding on them... Though I never had to sit in the way back.

The UA Airbuses>>>>>>legacy CO Boeings. DL is stuck with those old NW Airbuses, so,e of the first to come off the production lines.

717/MD80s may be a lot of things--the small, swept wings can make for a bumpy ride--but it's definitely not an ugly aircraft.

Hell, MD11s were an abysmal failure that should've gone directly to cargo, but those are some good lookin' planes, man.

717 all day long. More comfortable and you don't have to valet check your bags.

I am interested to fly the 717 out today. I almost exclusively fly out of MSY but wanted to try my diamond status from BTR. My biggest concern is the limited number of flight options rather than that aircraft.
