Haven't clicked the link but wonder if there was a minimum population in the stats.

There's a couple of counties in west Texas and NM that are pretty much all ranchland with very few sparsely spread residents. I would guess it's like 100% in those counties. Same for a lot of western/plains states.

Anybody find it strange that Texass doesn't have a listing?

List is shite.

Well, I'm not kidding about them thinking we're crazy.

Starting to wonder if that's why I get looks for carrying a knife everywhere...

They're surprised it's not a gun.

I've seen that map before but there is no source for the information so it's basically useless

I bet NOLA is top 5 for illegal guns per capita.

SC doesn't require gun registration. How do they get the data? Do they just track gun sales?

Louisiana requires registration??

Surprised the town in Georgia that requires every household to own a gun isn't on there.

Kennesaw's city limits only make up a small part of the overall county it's in (Cobb).

I saw more guns in my parents' neighborhood in St. Tammany in the weeks after Katrina than I have in a decade in Texas.

We definitely locked and loaded during that time. We had heard rumors that refugees were coming into St. Tammany and pulled out every damn gun we had. I was hoping they'd drive down Old Spanish Trail so I could wave AK's at them.

Was it a single entry-exit area where at night they had a check point at the entrance?

No source for the data and frankly this information should not be available unless they did voluntary surveys.

Is that really just a list of counties with people dumb enough to register guns?

I have no doubt this data is skewed. I live in a county of 8000 that I'd bet my life is 95% armed.
