Suit supply will give you the best looking and best quality suit in that price range. If your suits get compared to those 4 times the price, you know it's something you should pay attention to.
Also, invest in a tailor. Every man should have at least one suit he can wear at any occasion and feel like a million bucks in. Go with a navy blue or dark gray. Good luck!

Ignore all the jos a bank and men's warehouse suggestions unless you want to look like you're wearing a hand me down from your dad.
If you must but a cheap suit from one of these places, then definitely get it professionally tailored

I've bought a Hugo Boss for under that at Dillards

Brooks' Brothers, Ralph Lauren (for patterns) or Versace. Sound like a novice to dressing more professional so stick with a dark (navy or charcoal) with understated stripe or print.

If you're new to buying suits go to Jos A Banks. The TD ad shows buy 1 get 3 free and 3 free dress shirts. You can support Chicken and get all the suits you need for $800
If you don't need them soon I have a guy that travels across the U.S. taking measurements then makes the suits in Thailand and ships them here. Great quality suits but it is only worth it if you buy 3-4 at a time

I got a really nice Brooks Brothers suit for $600. They run some decent sales there.

I bought a really nice $1200 Brooks brothers suit when it was 40% off during one of their sales. Best money I've ever spent. I have Jos A Bank, Men's Wearhouse, and Banana Republic suits and there is no comparison. Only problem now is that is the only suit I ever want to wear!

+ Suit Supply. WSJ had killer review from fashion industry on them. 1 good suit better then 3 cheap ones.
Reasonable price too for a high-quality suit.
If you need more then one suit...get dress paints and couple of nice coats instead.

Asiatic made semi-canvassed product which is made to your measurements.
500.00 is worth the gamble.

I would NEVER trust them to make a suit.

Easy...J Crew Ludlow if you are reasonably fit or close to it. If you have access to a good tailor, you can make one of these look like the ones you see in GQ or ESQ. Great fabrics and modern (and timeless) cuts.

I have a tailor, my suits are bespoke.
About 800.00 (€600.00) for the tailoring and fornitures (buttons, etc.).
I simply supply the fabric and my design.
Takes two, maybe three fittings.
´Off the peg´ suits doctored up by a tailor can get really dodgey....

Are your cuffs workable?
I also got a $1200 brooks brothers suit for 40% off, so I'd go to the store in Nola first to see if they have any deals.

Ted baker of London's jones suit. At Dillard's. You are welcome

Sometimes if you have time and are patient you can snag a really nice full canvassed suit like a hickey freeman or comparable at huge sales at Neimans, Nordstrom, and saks rack stores. If you wear a common size you will have to hunt hard though.

i would recommend one of 2 things....
if you have a somewhat "normal" body, and an off the rack suit fits you, just go to macys and get one for about $300. they have plenty of brands(ck, ralph lauren, dkny) and styles(slim fit, regular fit) in that price range.
if off the rack stuff doesn't fit you well, then i would recommend a custom suit. the cheapest you can probably get a decent custom suit is probably around $700. keep in mind that these take time, as you have to be measured, suit needs to be made, remeasured, etc. for a $700 custom suit, the suit will most likely be made in china.

If you are young go to Banana Republic or J Crew. You'll get the most look for the money.
