Right? Resisting arrest for what underlying charge?
Exactly my thought.

The full statute is probably Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of Justice. Which is usually a catch all for cops who want you removed from the area so they can continue to abuse the system.

The attorney is a dumb arse.
Its a non-custodial interview, therefore Miranda does not apply.
The suspects can refuse to cooperate, but the attorneys cannot stop the officers from talking or asking for a voluntary statement or voluntarily submitting to being photographed from their clients.
Interfering with an investigation is an arrestable offense therefore resisting the officers commands can be considered resisting arrest.

Esparza said Stansbury noticed two individuals in court that day who he thought might be related to a burglary that is still under investigation and called them aside to question them.
Esparza said anyone interfering with a police investigation can be detained by officers.

From what I heard this is doesn't sound right, but....
If her client was being arrested that is not the time to confer with that client. You can be arrested for resisting the arrest of yourself (from another charge) or by itself for resisting the arrest of another. That is how the statute reads here in AL:
Section 13A-10-41
Resisting arrest.
(a) A person commits the crime of resisting arrest if he intentionally prevents or attempts to prevent a peace officer from affecting a lawful arrest of himself or of another person.
(b) Resisting arrest is a Class B misdemeanor.

Lawyers are a joke
Yes they are, but good attorneys are worth their weight in gold. That is if you know the difference between a lawyer and an attorney.

Well this is not surprising that this occurred in San Francisco. All the cops involved should be fired.
