Just got done watching "Rob the Mob" and it just got me thinking what it would be like to have grown up around all of that as a kid. Seems really interesting to me for some reason.

I think if you knew someone involved in organized crime you'd not admit it here on TD. Well that's what i'd do at least.

One of my frat brothers dated, and later married, the daughter of a mobbed up guy. They're now divorced. Her parents owned a little grocery store next to one of the projects and lived in a huge house Uptown. She was a nice girl, always friendly to me. I never met anyone else in her family, but my frat bro was a little scared of her dad.

Most OT ballers are in, or have a close relative in, or other notable connection to the Cosa Nostra.

come across? I thought I did. Most likely not though.

there are always shady characters who show up randomly at the docks.

i do wonder about those guys who drive Lincolns or Buicks up to the trailer where our union treasure is though.

My High School Chemistry teacher partnered up with my childhood friend to cook meth and it morphed into a global operation.

My great uncle who is in his 80s and senile right now was supposedly in the mob in New Orleans back in the 50s through the 70s according to my mom and my aunts and uncles.

I lived in Bradley Beach, NJ for 3 years when I was a kid. I remember my dad pointing out a few businesses that had been burned and places where bodies were discovered in the trunk of a car. This was in the 60's and while we didn't know anyone specifically, there was a good bit of mob activity in the area.

I know someone who owns a textbook rental store, that is pretty much organized crime.

Looking back, I think a few of the guys that my dad worked with at Caesar's Palace were connected. I was real young and didn't know about the mafia. The first tip off was that they were heavily involved with the Teamsters. I've ran into an old guy that was connected Triad down here. He has a bunch of the tats is how I figured that out. That one was literally in the passing though.
