He was never demoted at Bama.

DC in 2007
co-DC in 2008

That's demoted. It was a glorious, here's some new titles demotion, but demotion none the less. Completely precedented.

He was given the title Defensive Head Coach and was one of the highest paid coaches in the country. That's a demotion? No

Also, he was the second highest paid member of Alabama's coaching staff this season not counting Saban. You think he just backed into that money?

I'm in agreement with you on this one. Just because he's sucked the past 35 years doesn't necessarily mean he'll suck in year 36.

I keep seeing this mentioned. Unless he is taking over for Les in a couple of seasons, I don't see how it's relevant.

I would agree. I don't think his HC resume is very important.

The issue is when you're arguing with people who don't know what a bad resume looks like, you tend to add as much as of the bad resume to hope they attempt to glance at it.

You mean because Kiffin was in his first year of his contract?

That's like saying Frank Wilson is 2nd highest paid coach on LSU's staff right now so therefore he should be DC.

Right. We should just write off past performance and cross our fingers.

I'll allow it.

Again, I do agree though. His HC record is meaningless IMO. He was hired as LSU's DC, which he is not qualified for. I'll close my eyes and hope for the best like the rest of 'em.

Saban paid him $700k a year to do...something.  Is there any chance at all he's not a complete waste of a headset?

Why not? Plenty of people wrote off Miles because of the headset her wore in his first game.

Using exclamation points does not help validate your point at all.
